Lebua at State Tower is truly a 5* Hotel in every sence. All ' Rooms ' are suites with seperate Bedroom and Lounge both have a Television with English programes.
There are Kitchen facilites in all suites with complementary Tea & Coffee. If you want anything else such as Cutlery etc. you have to ask. Don't know if they charge for this.
Breakfast was included in our booking and Boy was it a Breakfast. Everything that you could want was there. The food at Breakfast was superb.
We had Room Service for two nights and it was Excellent and not expensive considering the Hotel.
The girls clean the room twice a day and replenish Towels etc and they are good.We did not use the Gym or Swimming pool or the other facilities as we where out most of the time. The hotel is located about a ten minute walk from Taksim Sky Train and the Pier for the River Trip.( 25 baht each ) which lasts around 2.5 hours in total. The staff are Excellent and will do all you ask of them with a cheerful smile.
Would we go back ? Yes of course we would. It's not cheap though. We went via Expedia but the normal rate is 320 USD per night. If you want to be pampered stay here.

We booked directly with the hotel and arrange for them to pick us up from the airport. The chauffer and beautiful BMW limo picked us up and took us directly to the hotel and gave us cold towels and iced water.
Breakfast was included in our rate. The choice was very big was absolutely substantial and of very good quality. There were freshly cooked items ie pancakes waffles, omelettes and eggs. A full english, american or japanese breakfast and the usual cereals pastries and breads. Good choices of fresh fruit and fruit juices and an endless supply of tea or coffee.
The hotel was exceptionally clean both in the public areas and each room. The rooms were in fact mini suites with a sitting area kitchenette large bathroom and massive bedroom. All were kept spotlessly clean.
The food in the roof top restaurant (The Dome) was extremely expensive and not that special. I would only recommend having a drink up at the dome as it has fantastic views with a sweeping staircase and you can see all over Bangkok from here. The views are spectacular. This is the only reason it scores low is the overinflated prices.
The location is perfect and the above ground station is quite near by and also the river buses that ply the Chao prayo river which will take you quickly to the main tourist spots like the Grand Palace.
The hotel staff were very helpful and gracious and nothing was too much trouble. If I could give 6 stars I certainly would.
I believe there was a gym in the hotel which we did not use also a reasonably sized pool next to the breakfast dining room. THere are massage facilities at the hotel.
I would definitely return to Lebua as it is like a home from home.
