We booked a package deal flight and 7 nights through the Australian travel agent San Michele, however, sadly they recently went out of business.
The Woodlands Resort is very nice. We booked a deluxe pool terrace room which was lovely... my only gripe was that it wasn't a king size bed as expected and more of a large queen, but still very comfortable.
Our room was really lovely, it had it's own deck and sun-beds, you could access the pool area by a small gate.
Best rooms are 909, 910, 911 and 912. They have other deluxe pool terrace rooms but the last 2 face a toilet block. I wouldn't be posting this favourable report if we'd have been placed in either of them. I noticed one of these toilet facing rooms had wheelchair access.
The breakfast restaurant is lovely as was the food which catered for all Nationalities and tastes.
The Woodlands is not directly on the beach but it didn't seem to matter. There are lots of restaurants across the road to eat at... mainly German but catered for all. We even managed cod, chips and mushy peas one night... however, as ex-pats in Australia it was very much a novelty for us and we enjoyed it.
Heaps of bars across the road if your game (if you know what I mean) all girly bars. I think my husband and I were bad for business being an older straight couple, however, Pattaya is not our cup of tea but I'm glad we went.
