This hotel trades solely on its stunning location.
The 'bungalows' were very Butlins, dirty and tired decor and furniture.
The European staff were uninterested and made British customers feel second class. The Thai staff appeared very unhappy, exactly the opposite of everyone else we met in the other hotels in Thailand we stayed at- We put this down to having to work at this place.
The food was a mish mash of Mexican, American and poor quality Thai food. Our first meal included a cremated pizza which staff reported to have been left in the microwave a little too long !!!-Microwave???
There was no entertainment and bars closed early.
At the hotel we were severely bitten and the guests were warned that staff would be 'fogging' the area to supress insects- nice.

My wife and I have visited this hotel every February for many years.
We also take other holidays throughout the year but nowhere lives up to the magic of this wonderful resort.
If you want to try one of the Thai Islands I believe this is No1.
