we transferred here after a stay in phuket..and the first thing that struck me was the total beauty of the place. We transferred there by boat and were awestruck by our room. We had 2 double beds, this walk in bathroom to die for, a seperate toilet, a balcony and this sperate annexe where there was another balcony with a settee and a table n chairs. Totally awesome and you could see why it was a 5 star hotel.
Thing is..it wasn't really for us..we had no idea what we were expecting as we had ended up there at the death after our other holiday had been cancelled on us by the tour operator..and we left everything up to Thomas Cook to sort summat new. We just said we wanted 2 weeks in Thailand instead.
We arrived there quite late in the day and so had not booked a longboat round to the mainland 9 we didn't know about it!) and had no idea about the walk over the mountains..so we felt like we were at Alcatraz!!!
It was incredibly pricey..
