The food in the hotel was great and my partner and I really enjoyed it.

We found the cleanliness to be quite good but i didnt like the smell from the towels. It was like dried towels rather than clean washed ones.

The location of the hotel was a bit off putting as you had to take a taxi everywhere. It would have been nice to have been able to walk more.

The staff were great and when my partner hurt her back they were very attentive and helpful.

The entertainment was abismal and it was geared more to children than adults. My partner enjoys a game of bingo but this was totally ruined for her as they called the numbers in about six different languages.

The hotel itself was magnificent to look at, and with the glass lifts it was really impressive. I would not return to Tunisia as i did not feel safe out of the hotel complex and was constantly hassled by people for services I did not require.

Incredible: Chose this hotel to spend a week with my girlfriend and .. was asked for our marriage certificate! The hotel director intervened telling us he was very upset etc etc.

Finally decided to go to another hotel, Royal Jenin, paying room extra, as staff were really absolutely bad.

Royal Jenin, just down the road, has a far friendlier staff, food is good and even were asked (three times) if we wanted some special food free of extra charge.

Royal Salem is a hotel I will NEVER go back to in my life.

We arrived at this hotel - having booked it after reading the reviews on various sites. The hotel has a very grand lobby with glass lifts- staff are very friendly and do all they can to help with any problems. We had a few issues on arrival in our room i.e broken shower head, blocked sink and light falling off wall. All these were rectified within the hour. Very Good.

The food is in buffet style and absolutely great. Something for everyone - we have fussy children and there was always somthing for them.

Entertainment is fab. Great entertainers: Moo Moo, Nu Nu, La La and Rashid. Kids Club for children everyday except for Wednesday - also a kids disco everyday in the evenig at 8.30 pm, Bingo, Beauty Contest etc.

They have an Arabic night (snake charmer, belly dancer and strong man act) on Mondays - highly recommened. Very enjoyable.

Rooms are clean and maids are very helpful and friendly.

Will definitely return to this hotel in the future and would recommend it to any one thinking of travelling to Tunisia.

hotel was very, good but bring tour own kettle, pg tea bags if you like your tea. keep to under 1 dinnar or under for tips, approx 50p. when you arrive the porter shows your t,v and go,s through all 99 chanals untill you give him a tip then he will leave you.

the hotel is so clean and the grounds are good they love childreen we stayed at the hotel salam which part of the royal salam they have there own private beach, very good, they also offer there own tunisen night, a show not to miss, so good that you wont forget includes there own style food/drink.

the pools are good, you can use both hotels they have baby pools childreens, and large pools also indoor pools all good.

1 week was enough for us the hotel laid good entertaiment but to go out of the hotel i did not enjoy

On arrival the desk clerk asked us to fill in a form while the rest of the staff stared. The hotel was being decorated and paint sheets were in some areas outside the room was nice with a massive bed big enough for 4 easily, for english people the t.v isnt much good we arrived flicked through the station found 1 english channel bbcworld and that was it the rest was russian, german, arabic or french I wouldnt advise flicking through the channels at night if you have young children as there are a lot of porn channels. There isnt alot to do around the hotel but the taxis are cheap enough to get into sousse for the medina or more restaurants. Staff are helpful but the gym staff and beauty salon staff are always in your face trying to sell you something. Entertainment was ok but aimed at the kids. Beach is great but the locals are a pain, avoid eye contact with any males as they are rude and will openly tell you if they like you even if you are clinging on to your partner. Nothing is free they will give you things as you walk by but dont take anything as 10 minutes later they will come after you for your money. Haggle with everyone if you want something dont take the watersports as set costs negotiate minutes if they wont budge on cost.

we stayed at this hotel in June, 9 friends and family
and two more on honeymoon! We had a great time,
landed at the hotel just around 1.00pm, straight to the
inhouse nightclub for a drink and bop!

This hotel cannot be faulted for singles or couples,
not much entertainment for youngsters though.

Food was good and weather super. Staff are friendly and polite. Staff do expect to receive tips but when you think about it, it is a cheap country to have a holiday in and so its not a big problem.
Have been going to this complex for the
past six years staying in the Salem next door and also
the Beach Salem. Going out of the complex can be a bit
of a nightmare but you soon get used to it. Not for the faint hearted!

The food at the hotel is buffet style and you can eat as much as you want. It is nicely presented and the staff are friendly.

The rooms are spacious and the air conditioning helps
maids clean every day and nothing is a problem

A well run and fabulous hotel I would recommend to anyone.

I stayed in the Royal Salem. It has been the best holiday I have ever been on! The staff were so nice and helpful.

The entertainment was also very good with moo moo, noo noo and zoo zoo. The best part of the hotel was the food. Some nights I couldn't eat the main meal. There was a lot of choice. The rooms were lovely and clean and the cleaners were also lovely. They cleaned it very well.

I had a lovely view of the sea from my window. There was a lot to do every day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Thank you for a great holiday will definately be back again!!!!
