Just returned from two weeks holiday. The hotel was fantastic, the rooms were air conditioned(included in the price)spotlessly clean with linen changed almost every day.The facilities were marvelous with plenty to do for all age groups. The nightly entertainment was usually directed towards the children, but thats no bad thing as all parents will appreciate. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to their own part of the beach several times every day-were you can also enjoy the all inclusive food and drinks until 6pm. You want to return before the bus is due? the staff will ring the Hotel and the bus will come and pick you up.It's as simple as that. The beach is mostly shingle but you can hardly blame the hotel for that!
The food was wonderful, plentiful, hot, beautifully cooked and presented. With plenty of choice(The salads have to be seen to be believed)All in all a Hotel we were really glad to have visited

Club Mermaid Hotel 4 Star All Inclusive, Alanya.

We arrived early hours of the morning at our resort and were made to wait for at least half an hour before we were shown our rooms - the room we were given was not what we asked for- we asked for an apartment not a single room. This was not the fault of the hotel (they showed us the booking form from the travel agent which was incorrect). The room were spacious and clean and we had maid service cleaning the rooms every day and changing our towels.

The annoying thing is that every evening the electricity would turn off around 7 p.m. for about half an hour - the hotel staff said this was due to a power cut (funny it happened around the same time!).

The food was diabolical! It was luke warm or cold. You didn't have much choice and if you are a vegetarian you would be on cloud nine as the meat was very sparse. Your children would starve if they only like plain food. The waiters are wooden - not very friendly and you were constantly chasing them to put down clean cutlery and napkins when you arrived at your table. Also you had to chase them for plates and bowls,in general they were very badly organised. Waiters are not at all smart and some of them not all, need to use deodorant - this did put you off eating your meal when you get the bad odour wafting up your nostrils. We went with another family and all of us except for two people went down with bad stomaches.

The swimming pools were in good condition and were cleaned every evening. The only down side was that the slides were not on all day for the children. They were on a couple of times throughout the day about 15 - 20 minutes a session.

The entertainment was like any other hotel, bearable, but the entertainment staff were friendly. The drinks at the bar were very watered down.

The Turkish Baths were excellent - highly recommend them and the staff were very friendly.

I would definitely not go back to this hotel even if you paid me, but people should not be put off by going to Turkey there are other lovely hotels with far better service to give you the holiday you paid for.

I booked this as part of a last minute package with flights from thomas cook and transfer and hotel from medhotels.

The hotel is in a strange position set back about 800m from the beach. This takes about 10 minutes to walk and is a flat walk.

The reception area is quite small but the chairs are comfy and it is nice to sit for 20 mins with a coffee after dinner.

The pools in the hotel are excellent cleaned every day and I could not fault them. The staff are very friendly and it is worth the effort to talk to them and get to know them.

The turkish bath is excellent and we had the scrub facial pack and full body massage.
The slides are truned on twice a day and there are six animation staff who were a little disappointing.

The evening entertainment was, even by Turkish standards, extremely poor. The only decent bit was the dancers but even they were very short.

On arrival you will be invited to put

This hotel looks great, but everything after that is not. The food was pathetic.

Entertainment pathetic.

The waiters swarm in packs taking your plates and food before you finish.

Your children will starve on the menu. My son ended up on dry bread.

The room was clean. But on arrival there is nothing in your room. Fridge did not even contain a bottle of water.

Disco(you pay for)is a small room underneath the first floor of the apartments.

Drinks are not included. If you dont go(you dont sleep !!!!)red hot and deafening)beach is small and scruffiest on the strip.

When you remove your hotel card to go out,air conditioning goes off.

All facilities are expenspive, because all are rented out by hotel.

This hotel was not liked by any couple we met.

It is not four star.

And is not reccomended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just returned from a week at this hotel. Rooms and all other areas very clean. Staff need to learn more English, what use is a Receptionist who cannot understand even basic questions?

Food not good at all, very limited choise and being asked to pay for fresh orange juice at breakfast! Never heard of it before on all-inclusive. All the other cold drinks were very watery squash! Tea and coffee undrinkable!

Entertainment was absolutely dire! Slapstick type humour etc and very bad singing/dancing. Also, Turkey, or this resort anyway, seems to have been invaded by Russians, horrible, rude people! Hotel is too far away from shops, bars, restaurants etc, taxi/bus needed to see or do anything.

First visit to Turkey and have to say on this experience, probably my last!

We arrived at the hotel at 1.30am and were greeted by the hotel porter and reception staff. They were very quick to check us in and we found them very plesant.

They mentioned that they don't accept money at the complex due to all the different nationalaitiy's and mentioned we could purchase a card to use if we required to buy anything (this was optional).

We were taken to our apartment by the porter who carried our bags up and was very helpfull. We were offered food and drink as we had missed the evening meal but we were tired and just wanted to sleep after travelling.

The apartment was very spacious and very clean we had a view of the fields and other residential properties. We found the remaining parts of the hotel to be of a high standard of cleanliness and the staff were very polite and friendly.

There are two large pools that are well maintained. The food was suitable for mixed nations but isn't really suitable for young children.

The only downside to this hotel is the noise can get a bit much of a night time from passing traffic and the hotel could be better located.

I would say this hotel is for couples and people who want a quiet week in the sun to relax. I would say you would struggle at this hotel for 2 weeks especially if you had children.

We really enjoyed ourselves for 1 week and would return in the future when the area is more developed.

We arrived at Club Mermaid Village at 12 midnight and had to have 90,000000 turkish lira ready to put on a room card account before we could have the key to our room.

The hotel was spotless clean and our room was cleaned every day to a high standard, however the air conditioning in the room only works when the key is put into a slot in the wall so when we went out to watch the evening entertainment we had to take the key, which meant the room was boiling hot when we came in at night to sleep.

The food in the hotel catered more for Germans than English my son who is 9 years old hardly ate a thing and when I asked the staff if they could make him some toast they wanted 4,000000 lira a piece(

Transfer from the airport to hotel took 2 hours.

The hotel is advertised as being in Alanya but is actually 16 km away, a 30 minute drive. The actual location of the hotel is well off the main road and is in an area that makes it impossible to reach the main resort other than by bus or taxi.

The nearest shops were in villages both a 10 minute taxi ride away. This was also where the nearest cash points were.

The hotel is pleasant, very clean and well kept and the staff and our rep were most helpful.

It is important to note that only the food and drink in this hotel are 'All Inclusive'. There are no 'All Inclusive' water sports at all. The Kids Club is paid for on a sessional basis. The pool table, tennis, etc. all have to paid for as does ice cream.

Our rooms had excellent air-conditioning which was included in the "all-inclusive" price. The temperature reached 48 degrees whilst we were there, so this was vital.

The hot water was not turned on all the time ( we believed it was a cost cutting exercise ).

The swimming pools were very well kept. It was a bit disappointing that the water slides were only turned on twice a day. There was an indoor swimming pool but this was reserved for the turkish bath area. Although it stretched into the open air, the children were asked to leave by the staff.

The guests were mainly from Holland, Germany, Poland, and Russia and even some Turkish. The British are in the minority and the children's entertainment was mostly in German. The evening entertainment from 9 to 11 was fairly amateurish. ( lots of audience participation ) and there was no dancing or disco.

The food was typical of a European hotel, rice, pasta, sauces, fruit salads and puddings. This however meant that our 8 year old ate very little at meal-times. There was a wonderful lady who cooked fresh flat bread every day which he did enjoy, and there were cakes provided in the afternoon. To make a change, we went into the next village by taxi and ate out. The food was very cheap.

The complex had a shop but this was quite overpriced. The nearest shops were in the next village ( a
