As we left for Belek we were all very exicted and as we found out during the following week, we weren't disapointed.
The hotel was very well set out, the numerous pools were spotlessly clean, (all of them!) the water-slides were well supervised and were open most of the day.
Ice-cream was freely avalible most of the day, which was great for the kids!
The food was execllent with plenty of variety for everyone. The restaurants were spotless, and the staff very friendly. Despite the fact that, yes, we were out numbered by Germans, French and Dutch people. We found them to be generally very ameenable and we met some very nice people if you make the effort! This made our holiday more interesting!
The room was very clean, not luxurious but had everything you could possibly need. The mini bar was topped up every other day and we found this enough. The accutual complex was very large and well thought out. The people seemed to really enjoy the nighttime entertainment. Particularly the groups which played outside the Zomm bar, which got everybody joining in!
We would recommend this hotel and certainly go back!

Staff friendly and food good.
Beachside location so good for families although beware of the sea as it gets deep very quickly.
For trips contact Memet in "lets go travel" in the local village Kadiere - the trips will be a fraction of the TC trips and just as good if not better !
Go on the rafting

We arrived at the Grida Village in the early hours of the morning. We had a bit of trouble finding our room as the resort is quiet big and rooms not easy to find. We were very impressed with our room and had a view over the pool which was very nice.
The hotel grounds were tended daily and were very clean and pleasant.
We found the food to be very repetitive and a bit too spicy, have never had tomato soup with beef in it before and found a lot of the food to be luke warm apart from the grilled meats/veggies. There were a lot of flies in the outdoor restaurants and the food was not covered which was a bit off putting.
Most of the hotel staff spoke English although some spoke very little and sometimes it was difficult to be understood.
We requested extra pillows and had to wait 3 days until we got them after numerous requests. We had a leaking shower and again it took 4 days to have this fixed and as with the pillows it was after numerous times of complaining to the reception staff.
As a diabetic I can only drink diet coke and it was difficult to get this in the mini bar, this was also a contentious issue and it was hit and miss to whether this was replenished.
The entertainment both daytime and nighttime left a lot to be desired. As per the food above!! We found that when we tried to join in activities that we were addressed in either Russian or German even when we explained that we were English. The hotel was very much geared to the Russian and sometimes we felt that we were in the way and not included.
All in all we did have a relaxing holiday but would not return to the Grida Village.......

Our room was 4* but the rest of the hotel was most definitely 5* top notch. The room was very clean and tidy but not as good as some other rooms in the hotel which I understand have been refurbished over the winter period.
The hotel and grounds were spotlessly clean, every sunbed was washed down and wiped clean each morning and all pathways were brushed and hosed clean overnight. I did not spot one item of litter during the entire week.
There were enough sunbeds for the number of guests so you didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve one. Beach towels and foam sunbed matresses were provided by the hotel.
The food was 1st class, the main restaurant had so many choices and varied the menu everyday that the hardest job was finding room in your stomach to try all the very tempting offerings.
The hotel also had 6 a la carte restaurants which guests could use once per week during their stay. In our week we had excellent meals in the French and Turkish restaurants, the Greek restaurant was good but not up to the standard of the two mentioned previously. Other guests commented on how good the Italian,Chinese and Fish restaurants were also.
We found all the staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, they all seemed to have cheery smiling faces which made for a very pleasant atmosphere.
One thing which might put people off is that of the 1000 or so guests I would estimate that 500 were German, 400 were Russian, 70 were British and the rest from other European countries.
Having said that we found all the guests whatever nationality were polite and friendly to each other, there was no pushing in queues or grabbing the best sunbeds, the behaviour was far better than you would get if it was a British only hotel.
The hotel was situated about 800 metres from the town of Belek, which was a smallish concrete town built in the 1990's with very little character. Belek had the usual shops seeling fake clothes, handbags and other leather goods, the main bit I disliked about Belek was that you could not walk past a shop or even glance inside without someone coming out and trying to drag you in to buy something, they would not take no for an answer and it was hassle in virtually ever shop.
Like many other people the more hassle we walked away and only bought things in the odd hassle free shops.
As I said earlier the hotel is full of Germans but don't be put off by this as it is well known that the German people do not put up with any cr*p, so consequently when I knew it was going to be full of Germans I knew I would be getting excellent quality and also value for money.
The hotel is ideal for lovers of good food, good accomodation, good friendly staff and for people who just want to relax and enjoy a lovely holiday.
If you want bright lights, Night clubs, gangs of drunken youngsters then Grida Village is not the place for you.
I would defintely return again to Grida Village after a really lovely holiday.

The first time we have been on an AI holiday in Turkey but definitely not the last and not the last visit to the Grida Village.
The whole complex was spotlessly clean with enough variety of food to suit everyone. One of our party did not like 'foreign food' - she does now!
The only minor complaint I would have is that towards the end of our holiday the complex was getting a lot busier and although there were plenty of sunbeds there was a definite shortage of mattresses and there was not much chance of getting one after 8 o'clock. We mentioned this to the staff however and they did say that this was being sorted.
All in all this was one of the best holidays we have had.

My family and I visted the Grida Villiage Hotel in May of this year . I can honestly say that I foung the hotel its self to be fantastic and the staff were so friendly. The hotel room were lovely and the over all place it self was so clean i could not believe it.
I would say that the only disapointment was thet there was no coffee or tea facility in the room. There was nothing that was not to much trouble for the staff to do for us and the food was amazing. The Picture in the brouchure does not do this place justice.
The only strange part of the holiday was that the british people are very much out numbered although everyone did get along well and there was no atmosphere it was strange to here so few English voices.
The beach is on site and beautifully clean. We are going again to turkey hopefully in the 2007 and I can't wait.
