We as others had read mixed reports about the Pegasos Complex - in Sarigerme, so this is what we would like to update you with! Firstly before I give you our report, please read this: its is a Mosquito's Paradise. Please if you are going out here, stock up with really good Mosquito repellant, creams, Piriton and antihistamine cream.... we were absolutely eaten alive, as was everyone else in this resort.
I have children, (10 & 3 who didnt come with us) and I would never go back to this resort, unless this problem is rectified -
this ruined our holiday, on one day, my mum felt really ill and i am sure this was because she had been bitten so many times - this was a real problem for us and most of the holidaymakers on the week we were they, there was not one person we didnt see, who hadnt been bitten, or who was scratching thier arms/lgs.
It really was awful & only one problem we encountered here, however we would not go back and take the children, we would not subject to this! There were little children who had been biten on thier faces, and they were going around with swollen eyes (black eyes) purely from being bitten. People were having injections by the hospital doctor - so this is only fair that we write this.
We flew out from Brisol, fantastic flight/ service. When we arrived at Dalaman airport, it was a bit chaotic, but we were eventually on route to our hotel, which was the Pegasos Palace & literally only a 20 min coach drive from the airport. Beautiful scenery on route, lush mountains/ scenery. The complex is split into two hotels, the Palace, and the Tropicale. We had a Jacuzzi Suite room booked (5039) we were booked in quite effortlessly and absolutely impressed beyond when we entered the lovely building which was immaculate, lovely furniture, lovely paintings and overally, first impressions- Great!!!!!
We were issued with our all inclusive wrist bands and our cases were taken to our room by a baggage chap, who was vey miserable I have to say, and hung about until we found some dinar to pay him with!!!! . A lot of the staff spoke very bad English and also looked very miserable for the week that we were there.
With regards to currency in the hotel shops they took Dinar, Euro and English money, 1 Dinar was equivilent to about 0.40p There was a couple of shops in the hotel, we only used the mini shop on couple of occasions and it was expensive. There was a shop also selling "fake" designer wear and his prices were very expensive. They do not like haggling with you , as basically the resort is stuck in the middle of nowhere, so unless you book a trip out of the resort you are stuck there.
The hotel was immaculate, and our room was cleaned every day, with clean towels. We had a Jacuzzi suite, which was a very modern /contemporary room, with a Jucuizzi bath with the jets. We cannot fault the room at all, as it was lovely. There was a buffet Breakfast/ Lunch & there was always a good selection of foods to choose from. The only comment i have is that the restuarant in the evenings was chaotic, bit like a butlins self service canteen, it would have been nice to have been designated a table for the duration of your holiday, as I was a bit like musical chairs, ie, bums on chairs, or you lose your seat.
The waiters in the restaurant were also quite miserable, and on two occasions, took our plates off our table whilst still eating! The Swimming pools were fantastic, (cold) and there was always loads of activities for children going on.
Evening entertainment was awful - the Ampitheatre props were absolutely rubbish - and I feel that more money should be spent on giving the entertainment reps, more funding. One night they did a show and were using scaffolding poles to stand on and sing/dance??
Pegasos resort is basically in the middle of a forest, you could walk down to the village but we were told by a few people it was a wasted journey, so we didnt go. There is a market in Sarigerme village on a Sunday, which once again we were told was rubbish, so we didnt go.
They do an outside Market in the hotel complex on a Tuesday and you can then try your haggling skills on purchasing souvenirs, fake goodies, Turkish Delight, but just remember while you are bartering, the mossies are biting!!!
We did book a trip with th First Choice reps on boat up the river Dalyan to the Daylan mud bath- it was a fantastic day out, best part of the holiday - and it was only

The food at the Hotel was great there was lots of choice in the All inclusive Buffett from Kids meals to Indian local Turkish food salads and much more.
The Restraunts that had to be pre booked the Indian, Italian and turkish again was a delight to eat in and the service was excellent.
Entertainment at the Hotel is provided by the in house Entertainment team and they fly over Acts from the UK also there is a House band for the Pool bar from the UK once again lots to choose from and all worth a look. The staff at the Hotel are all freindly and cant do enough for you, they expect a tip but then again if service is good its deserved.
I would visit the hotel again as it represents great value for money and is one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in.

Cleanliness was stunning. No matter what time of the day it was, there was always somebody cleaning. If it wasn't the floor being brushed and mopped in reception, it was the man waiting for you to drop that chip in the cafeteria so he could run over (armed with dustpan and brush) to clean it up. This was always done with a smile and a nod of acknowledgement.
Food in the hotel was only a touch short of excellent. If you come to this hotel/holiday expecting dishes worthy of Royalty, then you will be disappointed. If you come expecting cold chips and poor choice, like we have had on our 2 other all inclusive trips to Spain this year, then you are in for a pleasant surprise. Everyday, from morning breakfast through to the midnight drunken snacks, the food was hot and tasty. Selection was excellent. From freshly baked traditional Turkish pizzas, chicken tikka wraps to fresh koftas and even a tasty Sunday roast. Soup and a large selection of fresh bread was always available, and we always had a full stomach. The four bookable theme restaurants also break up the food rather nicely, and offer a set menu of tasty food included in the all inclusive deal.
The hotel location was fantastic. Only 20 minutes from the airport, and the end of the hotel grounds turning into the gorgeous sandy beach. We didn't have to leave the hotel grounds because everything was available on site, but Marmaris was only 1 hour away for those of you with an appetite for shopping. Apparently, 1800 shops full of bargains await for those fellas brave enough to go with the ladies, or brave enough to give them your credit card and let them go alone. Scary.
Staff in the hotel were friendly and happy. For those that couldn't speak English (which outnumber the ones that can), they always tried to understand and help in every way they can.
Entertainment was also fantastic. Everyday there was bingo at 9.00pm (when it was available), shows and singers that ran through until 12am, and sometimes went on after. There was even an former X-Factor contestant performing. Throughout the day, quizzes were available and fun. We was an excellent little bar right on the beach that did Karaoke every night, with my missus turning into a bit of a diva actually.
Overall, we had an amazing week, and only wished in went on for longer. If we can afford to go back next year, we definitely will be. Prices will be going up due to an 18 hole golf course in development amongst other new projects. If you've bothered to read all of this review and get to this point, I can sincerely say that all the bad reviews on this place are lies. We had a fantastic holiday and recommend the hotel as highly as we possibly can.

The hotel itself is fantastic, it's just a shame the food, entertainment and staff aren't.
The only thing they got right was the cleaning, which was spot on.
We had booked a jacuzzi room, which again I can't really fault, though the jacuzzi could have been a tad bigger. We had booked a room with a sea view, but were told before we flew out that because of the way the hotel had been built, that there weren't as many sea view rooms as they had hoped. LIE! The room we got was right at the back of the hotel, as far away from the sea as you could get! It didn't even face the sea, instead we overlooked the staff entrance!
As for the food, I would say it was average, some days good, some days bad! The four themed restaurants are ok, deffo worth a look, though I would steer clear of the A la carte restaurant, A) you have to pay (way too much than it's worth. B) they charged me 2 GBPs for tap water!!.
I would recommend that you take a walk into the village and eat at the dolphin bar. The food and service was fantastic, and it was a bargain, cost as about 10 GBPs for a gorgeous steak meal, that's 10 pounds between us and not each.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere! and I mean nowhere, unless you want a min 1hour bus ride. There is no night life to speak of! My girlfriend and I were hoping for a relaxing holiday, but the odd night out on the town would have been nice, shame there was no town!
The hotel does not cater for twenty somethings, they may try, but foul terrible. The is a nite club in the hotel, well they call it a nite club, but it's no more than a small square room, hidden at the back of the hotel. As the all inclusive stopped at 12 and the club didn't open till 11ish, there was never anyone in there, I think the most I encountered was 6, that included my girlfriend and I!!
The hotel staff, are ok, most didn't know how to smile!
The entertainment was ok if you are a family, but there is nothing there for adult only parties. And there's not much in the village either.
One thing I will say is that the swimming pools are plentiful and good fun, if a tad cold! Though I do recommend the bowling alley, probably the only thing that killed some time!
The major factor that ruined our holiday, was without doubt the MOZZIES, they are everywhere all the time. I think the only time your safe is in the pools. You can't even escape them in your room. I spent many a sleepless night, watching my girlfriend scratch her skin off. She was having baths at 3 o'clock in the morning, just the help the pain!! And the shops at the hotel sell nothing to help you!! Well that's a lie, they sell bug spray, but once your bitten your on you own.
We did take a few trips out, shopping and sight seeing, but again even these weren't that great. Shopping in Turkey is not a nice experience at all, shop workers are so rude it's unbelievable, they attack you, this is not a understatement. I was chased from one shop having abuse hurled at me, after deciding not to buy a pair of trainers. I also got abuse from some kid, after refusing to buy a bag, with him following me for about 10mins giving me abuse. These are just two of many incidents that happen over the two weeks. My girlfriend was touched up my shop workers, and when we complained they just hurled abuse again!
The fact is, you would have to pay me to go back to this hotel, even Turkey. And even if you offered I doubt you'd have the money to get me on the plane!

The bed was broken and took over a week to get fixed.
Drink was watered down start drinking at 8.00am if you want to get drunk!!!
We had to ask to have the room hoovered after the first week.
The beach is made up of black grit. Get up at 5.00am if you want a sunbed around the pool.
Entertainment pathetic.
Requested a tranfer on 3 occassions to be ignored by the reps.
If you go make sure you book the trips and Turkish baths in town as this will save you half the price!!
Been home two stays and the stomach upset is just starting to wear off. Good luck!!!!

The food was good and there were also 3 different al a carte restaurants.
The staff were very friendly and always very willing to help.
First time I haven't got that 10 day feeling of wanting to come home, could have stayed longer. Kids loved it. Would go back.

My childern had a brilliant time as the hotel catered for children. slides by the pool games areas a football school and other various facilities kept my children happy throughtout the holiday.
The food was lovley. With themed resturants on the complex and a pool side bar serving food through out the day.
Each night there was different entertainment catering for all choices.
I would definatley go back to this hotel. when it has been fully done out it will be a fantastic hotel to attend.

The food was poor quality and the same things were served nearly every day. All inclusive?? could have fooled me....we had to pay for things in our mini bar, pay for towels. We flew out from Pegasos at 1am and we had to pay 40 pounds if we wanted our room until 6pm!!! We had to be out by 12pm!!
Staff were really helpful but didnt speak much english. A lot of accidents occured with signs falling on people, broken legs, toes, arms. etc...not good.
I would go back again I believe they still need more time to get it perfect!
Keep it up Pegasos you might make it "5 star" :)
