Location
Awful time had there, during the day the manager decided he would throw everyone into the pool( without asking them if they wanted to or even if they could swim) very childish!

Made very good mates with the owners and not forgetting the British bar well what can I say. Hi guys.

The food was repetitive according to friends we met who stayed HB. Also the portions were smaller than kiddies. I was ill for about 5 days, but the maids insisted and coming and cleaning around me so I had to get up and sit on the balcony, which is not good when you are writhing around in agony with stomach cramps.
The drinks were quite expensive. 4 YTL for a small beer. Go next door to ilksan. It is a hotel specifically for Turkish teachers where they get a subsidy from the gov. It is 2.250 YTL for a large beer! The food was cheap there and they made our children and us feel really welcome. Not just the staff but also the guests.
Entertainment at the Tuntas was (apart from 1 turkish night) non-existent. Certainly nothing for the kids to do. If it wasnt for the few channels that had English progs, I think I would have gone insane while I was ill.
I dont think I would go back to the hotel again, If I did it would only be for the location. Right on the beach, but you've got to be there early for those sunbeds and for the couple of great restaurants we've gone to for the last couple of years. (Izmir and Merves)
The beach was very dirty. Nobody in my family smokes, but there were around 6 ciggie butts for every handfull of sand you pick up.
I felt sick when my kids wanted to play with the sand, so we made them sit on the loungers or go into the sea.

The accomodation is very roomy and the maid cleaned and changged towels everyday.
The location of the apartments is excellent there is a beach just around the corner and everything is on the beach front. No hills to climb in very hot weather
The staff ran by Ike is amazing they play with the children and make sure your stay is all it can be they go out of their way to make you feel at home. Very friendly and welcoming.
Visited 05 and 06 and going back this year also - already booked.

Crisp white sheets every 2 days and nice fluffy towels.
Reception staff were very helpful.
Hotel is not new but we really thought it was very clean.
Positioned on lovely sandy beach with great views.

Superb reception and dining area. However the
room was in need of modernisation and some serious cleaning, if they spent as much time cleaning as they did shaping the sheets the room could have been spotless.
Curtains didn't fit.
Carpet was stained quite badly.
Light fittings loose.
Towels were rock hard, ripped tatty things.
Blanket, obviously rejected by a local charity and purchased by the hotel.
Bedroom furniture was old and badly stained.
Bathroom, I've had better on caravan holidays as a child, I dont think cleaning products have landed in Turkey.
Food....boring, no real choice at breakfast given its "star rating".
Evening meal, average , nothing to write home about.
Entertainment was the typical Turkish night, once a week. Other than that it didnt exist.
Nothing at all for children.
Pool, was far too small for the number of guests. Had a seperate childs area, but the main pool was 1.8m deep and not user friendly for non swimmers.
Staff were always friendly, except on reception.
Air conditioning, a staggering

The Tuntas hotel which I was in was very good and steps from the pool area led you straight onto the beach which was great. Shopkeepers there and restaraunt owners are very annoying at times but still very very friendly.
There is a lot of music playing from the Queens Head pub across the road although it is not too distracting.
Dolphin square is good for shopping.I see what some other people mean by the towels, sometimes ours would be fine, other times tatty but above all I really loved my stay there and would definitley go back there.
I recommend it too anyone, I thought it was good for children although the heat is sooooooo hot.

There is a gorgeous restaurant just round the corner touch of class and mamas food is perfect in every way especially the spaghetti bolognese.. and Eric is great fun..
I would stay in Tuntas again.. The pool is small but becareful cause they will throw you in and each other.
I went back to Turkey in July this year and we are booked to go back on October the 10th..
Alex from Tuntas was very nice person and we seen him again in July and he remembered us and had a little chat with what English he did know.. I would recommend anyone to stay in Tuntas apartment, but do try Touch of Class restaurant once you have tried it once you will go back for more.

We had 1 year old baby, and there were a lot of stairs to climb to get to the reception. Once we got checked in, we were given the first floor, due to a having a baby, but no lift from the the reception to the floor, so needed to carry the pushchair up some stairs, this proved a pain over the two weeks, if the baby was asleep.
Rooms clean and spacious, and the view from the balcony was fantasic, direclty overlooking the beach.
Noise from the Medusa nightclub was quite loud. No entertainment when we were there. Food ok,but no English alternative

The best room we found was at the side of the hotel as they were larger rooms, balconies, better sea view.
The hotel only had one night
