The air con didn't work for 3 days and when we went to tell the manager he didn't want to no even though we had photos to prove it.

Gumbet was a lovely place whould go back to Gumbet again but not Ayaz Aqua studios.

Hello
Well we have just come back yesterday and we have just been looking at prices to go back next year.

We had a fantastic holiday at this hotel and it was so nice to go to a small hotel this year where we met so many nice people.

While we were at the hotel someone in the first week found a rat in there room, and we found some rat dropping outside one of the store cupboards. We took some photos to show the rep and we went down and seen the manager. That day heath and saftey visited the hotel, then rat men went into every room of the hotel and put poison down etc. Everything was then cleaned etc.

We found that this was dealt with very quickly and nothing was heard about rats after that. I spoke to our rep and she told me that it was something that hadnt happened before at the hotel and it was an isolated incident. She asked me if i wasnt to move hotels but i didnt want to (even though i hate rats!)

We found the hotel was clean and the maid came to our room everyday. The pool is the main attraction of the hotel and it was fab. really big pool very clean.

For us the staff really made the holiday they could not do enough for us and no matter what time of day they were there. Yes they played music everynight and really went out of their way so we enjoyed the night even if there were not many in the bar. The bar staff, JD, Ahmet and Tanju were fab. The music never bothered us once in our room.

Over all we had a great holiday and all the people we met at the hotel were having a great time. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel and our rep who was fantastic for making it such a great honeymoon. We will be recommending this hotel and going back again.

We arrived back 2wks ago from Ayaz Aqua studios. It was the worst holiday we have ever had and we certainly will never return to the studios.

On two occasions there were rats in both our apartments. We have a lovely video of our furry friends. The hotel staff were not at all worried about rats being in our rooms. The first time they were seen in one of our rooms they moved us to another room. One hour later they had put a new family into that same room we had just left in which the rat had been killed.

The next time the rats were in our food cupboard we were changed hotels. But by then my wife had been ill for six days after the first rat appeared. The rats were getting into the apartment through outside cupboards they were full of rat droppings. During the time at this hotel we were also woken in the night by drunk youths who flashed at my wife and were seen urinating in the pool.

Turkey is a lovely place to visit. The people are very friendly but never would we again stay at the Ayaz Aqua studios. A holiday without furry friends sharing your apartment is what we wouldve liked.

I stayed in Ayaz Aqua in August 2005 for two weeks, when I arrived in the early hours of Monday morning I found the hotel and the layout of the room very nice.

I found the cleaning standards very poor in deed the floor of my apartment was always dirty even though they where cleaned everyday. I also was not happy because one night my friend and I where sleeping and was awoke by a large bang, we saw that the ceiling over the kitchen had falling down and a rat was climbing in to the clothes cupboard which really scared us.

All the staff at the hotel are really friendly especially the bar staff Ahmet, JD and Tanja, which are great fun. You have to watch out for Ahmet as he loves to chuck people in the pool and pick you up and throw you and himself in the pool at the same time.

I found the Location of the hotel ok it was a good 15 minutes walk into town for the bars Me and My friend who are both 18 years old found the bars really good especially the Mystery Bar the staff there are great.

The entertainment On the Thursday night, which is Turkish night, is really good and on the Tuesday night is barbeque night didn

Me and my girlfriend went to Ayaz Aqua in August 2006, I found the apartments clean, and very convenient to all the local ameneties( bars).

The staff were very friendly, we had great craic with ahmet, J.D and Tanju. We partied with them at night and played football with them a couple of times.

Would definitely go back 10 out of 10!

We just got back from a great 2 weeks at the Ayaz Aqua Studios.

We got to the studios at about 3am, porters immediately took our cases to our rooms. Even at that time of the morning, the pool area, gardens and studios looked just stunning, obviously very well designed and well maintained.

The studios are not big, but there was ample room for all of our things, plenty wardrobe hanging space and drawers, a long dressing table shelf with huge mirror (and an electric socket right next to it) and 2 other tables as well as the bedside shelves, so plenty of available space to clutter up with holiday potions and lotions.

A huge bonus in the studios is that they all have a bath and shower (very handy for little ones who are used to baths instead of showers), with shower screen, and another big mirror over the sink in the bathroom. Smallish balcony with a view over the pool area, but still big enough for table and 2 chairs.

The kitchen area is basically a sink, fridge, couple of cupboards (with enough utensils for cooking if you feel the urge) kettle, and one electric ring. Everything clean and tidy.

Housekeeping called into the rooms every day, tidied up, mopped the floors, cleaned the mirrors, and made the beds (complete with intricate designs with the towels and flowers every day).

The hotel cleaning and maintenance staff seemed to work all day and night, tending the flowers in the gardens around the pool etc.

We didn't spend a lot of time around the studios, but as a base they were great.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the bar stayed open as long as there were customers for it, always someone at reception too. You can get snacks, breakfast etc at the bar area of the studios, and there is a little minimarket just outside, where you can get all your self catering essentials, and I didn't find it expensive.

The pool is fantastic at the Ayaz Aqua, a free form pool with shallow and deep ends, which winds all the way along the front of the 5 small studio blocks. There is also a fine childrens pool. Unfortunately, in May the water in the pool was absolutely freezing! But in the height of the summer it would be heaven jumping in that pool to cool off.

The studios have a Turkish night every Friday (along with almost every establishment in Gumbet I reckon) and although we never went to it, it certainly looked very professional, extra chefs came in to prepare the Turkish buffet, and they have traditional dancers and live music.

The only thing that lets the Ayaz Aqua studios down a bit is its location - its at the bottom of the hill leading out of Gumbet over into Bitez. It's a good 10-minute walk from the studios to the start of the main shopping and restaurant areas of Gumbet, another 5 minutes to Bar Street. There is a great beach just 100 yards walk from the studios, with a lovely wooden pier jutting out into the clear blue sea, with sunbeds and turfed steps leading down into the water.

The area around the studios is still being developed, and I think within the next 2 years or so it will be really lovely. Having said that, it is on the main dolmus (minibus) route into the centre of Gumbet and on to Bodrum, alternatively it only costs about 4ytl (less than
