Never a five star hotel -more like 2 star. Mold growing in the bathrooms,rusty screws sticking out the toilet, cracked and sharp tiles in the shower, carpets in the bedrooms stained. Lifts working very rarely - had to climb five flights of stairs with two suitcases as staff would not help. Even when they did work they only went down two floors and we still had to walk up and down three more flights. No lights in the corridors - an accident waiting to happen as it is so dark you fall up and down the stairs or over the carpet runners. Breakfast as expected but lunch and evening meal usually inedible and cold.Okay if you fancied salad. Ended up having to eat out most of the week. Most staff very unhelpful - tended to play the "cannot understand you" card. no entertainment - apart from very loud disco music at the pool all day long - not much good when most of the visitors were over 30. No sunbeds unless you can get down by 7 with your towel.
Only plus side was the weather was fantastic
Very dissappointed as we had visited Turkey before and had a fantastic time - won't be back.

My daughter and i stayed in the royal marin 5 star hotel in gumbet.Ihave to say this was the best holiday we have ever had in turkey. yea it may not be a five star but it was clean, tidy, food was good staff were helpfull brilliant hairdresser.The weather is great the views over the bay are fantastic. thereis a private beach were you can get burger and chips drinks at no extra cost. there are boat trips only 12 pound all day free lunch ,just ask for a guy called Ramsey on the beach he is incharge of the boats.
We only paid 240 pounds for the holiday what a bargain.we would definitly go back back again.
