The resort was clean and friendly as long as you avoid the hassles of the people trying to get you to go into their shops. After a while you just ignore it. Their was entertainment available during the evenings if you wanted it. The boat trip is a must as it takes you around the islands and you get to swim with the fish. The beach is kept clean and is long and narrow. It's a mix of sand and very small stone but is very nice. You also get staff from the local bars coming out to offer you drinks which makes you very lazy as you do not have to leave your lounger. You also get beach massages which are excellent. I would definitely go again

We were led to believe that Gumbet was like Icmeler and Bodrum was like Marmaris, however it appears to be the other way round. We did enjoy Bodrum and we took lots of trips. The streets and beach just didn't seem as clean as we are used to in Turkey (mainly Icmeler) and Gumbet is definitely a lot noisier.
Having said that, if you get the opportunity, do go and see the Dreamgirls show - absolutely hilarious, haven't laughed so much in ages, but be prepared to get splashed at some point in the evening :)
Although I said we wouldn't return to Gumbet, we would return to Bodrum, or Torba, and if we really wanted seclusion then Gumusluk is definitely the place to go. It certainly hasn't put us off Turkey and we still had a great holiday

Gumbet was like a ghost town . most of the restaurants were empty probably because it was nearly the end of the season

resort ok. only made for 18-30 year olds, nowt for a family or kids
this is a man made resort that does not reflect turkey at, just
plastic turkey that is tailor made for the holiday maker that just wants sun sea sand and very loud music we did enjoy our holiday but think of 20 places which are much more turkish and less plastic than gumbet

Beware of taking free shots in Gumbet except direct from a bar person. Some appear to be spiked with drugs and you will find yourself waking up at the Uni-Med centre which hugely over inflates it's prices to give you a £700 bill! Which you can do nothing about as they threaten to bring in the Police if you do not pay. This is definitely a S.C.A.M
These two things seem to have a direct connection.
Please be careful your holiday company will not warn you about this for fear of scaring you .

Nice during day, lots to see and do. At night it's all about drinking, and getting as much money out of u as poss. Lots of scams. All bars push cocktails at 10L (£5) each. Happy hour only lasts for first drink and if u are tipsy you may find they are using glasses with rim dipped in vodka and your cocktail is just fruit juice. The best place to eat is Mistral bar on sea front near outdoor carting centre. same menu as everyone but better quality food and better prices with free wine and first drink and free coffee/tea to finish.

I really loved Gumbet, the resort is clean but you do have to mind your step as it's all up & down hills & the footpaths aren't the greatest.
Entertainment wise you can't go wrong on bar street, wall to wall party time. We had a great time at Bar 20, right on the top corner of bar street, were the Turkish guys dance all night with the punters, definitely worth a visit.
The beach is beautiful, clean & lovely at night when it's all lit up.
For food you're spoilt for choice, i would recommend Annalivias, China Town (great staff) & Seray Zetas...
I'd certainly go back......
