The resort of Ozdere was pleasant enough, about 20 mins to walk or 2 mins on the Dolmus (1 lira each, about 40p each way). We didnt eat here or use the beach but there were plenty of gift shops, a bank machine and a nice market on Saturdays.

As previously stated by others there really is nothing much to do in this resort.

We stayed at Club Sultan and this town is a 35 minute walk along a non paved road and quite treacherous and not really for the faint hearted in the hot sun or dark evening especially considering the way everybody drives.

We visited this small town on two occassions to purchase fags and booze fro the journey home. There are a few cafes and bars and restaurants but this is not a place for a night out.

The cost in a taxi from club sultan costs 5 turkish lira each way ( approx £2 ) or you can flag down the bus but itis better IMO to get a nice air con taxi.

If you want to shop big time then go to Kusadasi which is about 45 min drive and costs 90 lira or 45 Euros from the hotel but can be cheaper if you flag one down on the main road.

The drivers all give you their card and if arranged will pick you back up at a certain time. We did not have to pay any money until the return journey was completed.

I have just returned from this fantastic resport on Friday 9th June. All I can say is wow - what a beautiful place! This was my first visit to Turkey although my travel companions have been a few times - we are all new to this part of the country. The resort was just beautiful, the landscape was unreal. The resort has been cleverly built into the hills and is laid out really well. This of course also meant some steep climbes to the rooms - but after the delights in the restaurant the walks were a welcome form of exercise to burn off those additional calories from the delicious puddings available. The weather was amazing with the temperatures never falling below 36 during the day and around 20 in the evenings. I do recommend though that you get out of the sun between 12 and 3pm although it is very hot between 3 - 6pm.
The Thomas Cook reps were spot on - always someone around to talk to and ask questions - very helpful and great with the children too. I couldn't fault this resort and I do believe its rating should be 5 star and not 4 star. There was one disappointment though - the English holidaymakers that were there - they were very rude and noisy with no regard to the other people trying to have a nice holiday - I was embarrassed to be from the UK watching their behaviour.
The beach was private and very clean and well laid out - we found it too hot to stay all day as the little parasols didn't provide a lot of shelter. The water was very clear and you could go quite far out as the water was quite shallow which is perfect if you have small children who just want to paddle or snorkle.
If you are thinking about travelling to Turkey and have never been I can totally recommend this resort, the staff were very friendly, the resort was very clean and the views were breathtaking and if all of that wasn't enough the food was exceptional - the choice was unbelievable and to sit on a balcony with the sea crashing below you was simply heaven.
There are two pools in the resort, the large public one where all the pool games happen and a really good sized children's pool and the top pool which looked like something out of a sandals resort magazine - the pool and ocean seemed to flow into each other - they didn't but the optical illusion was amazing - and when you swam in the pool it felt like you were swimming towards the edge of some waterfall - but then you reach the side and realise the sea is below and you are safe - great!!
It broke my heart to come home!

The Resort - quite with nothing to do, but we knew this before going. Was useful though, as the local town 'Ozdere' was the only place we could get proper fruit juice!

The resort was everything we were looking for. It is a quiet resort, so not suitable for any clubbing teenagers. The resort Ozdere is a quiet, adequate shopping area, but not much to do other than buy a few souvenirs and talk to the locals (who are all very friendly). Do not pick this resort if you're looking for nightlife - because you won't find it. Great for young families.
