Turgutries is reasonably quiet, apart from the diabolically noisy "Bar Street". The town traders are polite and helpful, although some of the resaurants can be a bit pushy, NO usually suffices though. The food is good, both Turkish and American/English, and everywhere is clean.
The beach has a Blue Flag award (whatever that means) and is clean, with free sunbeds and parasols.
In general, a nice resort so long as you do not stay in the wrong part of the Mandalinci Hotel.

The resort has been worked on and it is now quite neat and tidy, now the new marina is albut finished, there are no lorries or workers, and it looks very nice. The resort is very flat and easy to get around. Are entertainment normally centres around the bars and the restaurants, so we cannot comment fairly on night clubs etc.
There is no charge on the beaches for beds or umberellas and they are comfortable and with waiter service on the beach what more can you ask.

We didn't do much travelling or sight seeing. Everything we wanted was there. Of a day you have the red hot sun, of a night you have all the fantastic bars and restaurants in particular the Rain Bar that was our favourite and by far the most friendliest. But most of all I enjoyed the market on the Saturday, we got there about 2.00p.m and walked around and around until we got the prices we wanted to pay.

Great resort, people are very friendly, a bit too much hustling to get people into their restaurants but apart from that no faults whatsoever. Visit the friendly people at the Family Tree, Hasan, Hussain, Faith, Osman and Gordon Ramsay the chef, also try The Mona Lisa where Sam is a great help. The market is a must if you like shopping as is takes practically all day to go around it and haggle as they inflate the prices.
Club Perla is a Dolmus ride from Turgeries ( 40 pence )and is situated in a quiet location. Some building work is going on close by,but is not noisy or dirty.Staff are excellent, meals are good, pool is clean as are rooms.
Reccomended.

People were out early in the mornings cleaning their shop fronts and the streets. The beach was good especially being so close to the hotel. The sun beds were free. The only criticism is that the beach wasn't cleaned regularly. Cigarette ends and small pieces of rubbish were always visible. The boys that worked in Nutters Bar especially Jan were excellent. If you wanted food or drinks you only had to wave to them and they were straight over to take your order. You paid them at the end of the day ( very trusting of them ).
The resort is very special to us. We were there 8 years ago when it was only a dirt road and very few pubs. We have kept friendly with some of the locals from that time.
The entertainment is a lot more varied but it is hard to keep everyone happy.
The beach is excellent. I will definitely be back.
