Just returned from a totally chilled-out week at the Mediteran. We had read reports before booking so knew what to expect. The hotel is basic and could do with a little TLC, but the rooms are large and cleaned every day.
The really outstanding features of this hotel are the location, the friendliness and the food.
The location and views are absolutely superb!!! The balcony overlooked the boatyard and the bay. We were never troubled by noise from the boatyard and it was fascinating watching them lift boats out of the water and launching them. It certainly beats looking at another hotel from your window!
Breakfast was adequate, if a little boring after a while - ham, eggs, bread, honey, tomatoes, cucumber, olives and watermelon - first time I've ever had salad for breakfast!
Lunch and dinner were great; a good choice, reasonably priced and very tasty. We ate there all but 2 nights and it was fantastic to sit there with the sea right next to you, looking out over Fethiye Bay. The staff were friendly, though I think the younger ones were a little shy until they got to know you.
In the evenings, there were locals at the bar, and people from the boats moored at the marina but that only added to the friendly atmosphere.
There were plenty of sunloungers by the pool and there was never a problem with them being full.
As the hotel is only small, you soon got chatting to the other guests and we made some great friends.
It's only a 30 minute stroll in to Fethiye or a few minutes by dolmus, which are very frequent and only cost 1.5YTL.
If you want a fancy reception area, lounge, marble floors, gyms, tennis courts, karaoke etc then The Mediteran isn't for you. If you want friendliness, great views and relaxation then what are you waiting for? I wish I was still there and would love to go back.

We spent a very enjoyable 2 weeks at The Mediteran which was basic but clean, with fantastic views across to Fethiye and of the boat yard next door. Breakfast was typically Turkish but as much as you could eat and fresh. Rooms were spacious and cleaned each day, although needs updating. Although no beach at hotel, boys were able to jump off the jetty into the sea. Swimming pool and bar were in ideal positions and staff all friendly and helpful. Eating at hotel for lunch and evening was good value and excellent cuisine. We had a Turkish Night which was enjoyable with good food. Ideal for families who want to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle, we were never troubled by noise. The dolmus bus ran regularly to Fethiye for 1 lira each way, but it was a 25 minute walk into the town otherwise.

I had read mixed reviews on another holiday site so was really prepared for anything.
We were given a friendly reception when we booked in and shown to our rooms. My daughter was on the ground floor and we were on the third floor. Both rooms were spotlessly clean. The furniture is dated and sometimes had holes in the towels we were given but this hotel was
