the apartments were lovely, one of the best holidays i've been on. we had an apartment on the pool side which was ideal and was quite spacious. there were two pools which were also very nice. the staff at the castle are fantastic and can't do enough for you, nothing is to much for trouble for them. at night time we had a stroll into icmeler which at our slow pace took us 15mins which was nice in the evening but we got a taxi home as there is a small incline back up to the apartments. the taxi was only a couple of pound which was well worth it. the staff at the castle were like extended family and definately made our holiday, will definately be returning

The people who have wrote decent reviews on here really just dont know right from wrong.
The entrance is a dark dingy staircase with a dirty dog layed on the bottom with bits of food all over....
At the top of the dirty stairs there is your eating area, bar, pools, reception and rooms and yes thats exactly just what you see, everything is just totally on top of each other....
Everywhere is really really dirty (filthy). The 2 pools are only small and the water in them is murky, i would rather sweat to death than get in them. Our room was in the basement and it was dark, damp, smelly, and dirty, the balcony was a dirty dug out, just appauling. The owner could not speak english when it came to our complaint surprise surprise. We did not stick around long enough to try out the food sorry, but could not have slept there never mind had anything to eat. I feel for the poor smelly stray dog that has found shelter in the stairway to hell.......
Icmeler is a really beautiful place, we have been going for 6 years and there is lots and lots of lovely hotels and apartments. These are the worst apartments ive ever seen in my life !!!!! I would not recommend a dead dog to stay there !!!!!!!!!!!!

to look at from the outside you'd think you made a big mistake but once your in it's fantastic. bearing in mind it is only two star accomodation you get more than you asked for.we had a fantastic holiday. the room was lovely and clean [ no basement appartments as previously wrote ] food was good, all freshly prepared. location was ok if you like to have a walk via a few bars!!! ozgur and his staff did all they could to make our holiday a holiday to remember. ozgur doing his micheal jackson impersonation is brill!!! tin tin [ not a stray dog ]is a lovely dog who the children loved!!! overall we had a brill holiday. we met some great people, no miserble buggers allowed. thank god we got there after j+c left. see you next year ozgur .big kiss from imogen. xxx

just got back from two weeks in icmelar second time there gorgeous town cant wait to go back in may!! thought ahmed and hakan were absolute gems who worked very hard big hello to yous and not forgetting our little own security dog tin tin, take care xxx

This was our 5th visit to Icmeler. As we know Icmeler pretty well, taking a late booking with limited choice of accommodation, we felt pretty confident that we could not go wrong with any apartments we picked here. Oh my god how wrong we were. After a 3 hour transfer which usually takes 1 1/2 hrs (driver had no idea where is was going with drop offs in Marmaris and then Icmeler), after flying through the night, we were faced with the first sight of The Castle Apartments of a rusting gate, with chipped steps up to the apartments, we passed the dog at the bottom with the contents of the dog's bowl strewn up the steps. We had read reviews that the photos do not do it justice, the photos on sites actually make it look better than it actually is, the two tiny pools looked dirty and murky, the bar and seating area was tiny and everything just looked run down and dirty. We thought, never mind the apartment should be fine so we can just use it as a base as we were meeting up with friends and we can use their facilities. We were taken to a ground floor apartment, which was dark, dingy, dirty, damp and extremely depressing. There was no view, apart from a large wall and it was attached to a shed like building which you could see through too where the doors had been boarded up, I would not even of let the dog stay in there, let alone us with our daughter. We asked if there was another room available, but were told this was the last one.

We left our cases, locked the room and went in search of alternative accommodation. After a couple of hours we found a lovely apartment, with a gorgeous pool. We went back to collect our belongings, the rep was there, we showed her the room and she was shocked at what we had been offered.

I can safely say that I would never return to the Castle Apartments and would definately not recommend these apartments to anyone, there are plenty of lovely apartments in Icmeler. All I can say is you cannot believe everything you read.

Just back from a two week stay at castle apartments,wasn't sure what to expect from a 2 star apartment but shouldn't have worried,apartments good size,cleaned every day,towels changed every 3 days,Ozgur and family were fab,couldn't do enough for you,food was excellent nothing was too much trouble(even chip butty at 01.30!!!) In a quite location about a 20 mins walk to beach which we didn't mind.Met loads of nice people within the apartments,maybe rated 2 star but 5 star treatment!Many thanks Ozgur & family,hope to be back soon.
