We visit this hotel year after year so to the above comments yes it is a reunion because we meet people who return year after year. The same as the staff, some of the guys we have known for years and become very good friends with them so we are obviously going to spend time with them. I dont feel that for one minute we had any "special treatment" as the jealous people in the previous review has wrote, however as said we are good customers to these guys and have shown the hotel loyalty for a number of years. We met many people in August in our holidays again so we were definetely not excluding anyone or being hostile etc-maybe if these guests spoke to us instead of not trying then they would have met more people and hence enjoyed the time at the hotel more. 10/10 to the guys in the hotel-please do not think that any special treatments are given because they are not!

We stayed at Efes Inn for two weeks and found the hotel friendly,clean and perfectly situated right on the beach.

Our room was very spacious with side sea views but also overlooking the Joy Munimar Hotel which could be very noisy during the day and night with their staff rolling what sounded like metal bins around in the early hours.

The staff in our hotel were extremely friendly with "Jeff Chandler" puzzling everyone with his brainteasers. Do not get incolved with the one about 26 ships...turned out he meant to say 20 sick sheep!!!!

Now for the real complaint... Air Coditioning. As previously stated it is bad but you can imagine what it was like in temperatures in the 50s. The hotel only put it on between 3 pm and 8 am, it was so bad we could not breathe at times. We dare not open the curtains as the boiling sun belted in more hot air. Everyone complained but nothing was done only a notice telling everyone what time the AC would be on and that we should not open windows or doors. Even if you did this it could not cope.

Apparently on the 5th floor it has been refurbished and each room has its own AC, they intend to refurbish the rest of the hotel this winter.

It was such a shame as this did spoil our holiday as it was so uncomfortable when we got back to our room.

If they can sort this problem out then we would defintiely go back.

The last time I stayed here was in June 2005 with all the family in a group of nine. We had a brilliant time. The staff were great and would do anything for you. However this time there didn't seem to be any atmosphere there and the staff seemed a bit off hand with us.

On our first day we were asked by Mehmet if we would like to go to the turkish night on the Sunday so we said yes. He said you could have anything from the menu and there would be a show afterwards.

As I have stayed there before I knew that the show would be the usual belly dancers and the waiters doing the folk dance etc.

On the night when we got to the restaurant we were asked if we would like the leg of lamb so I said yes but my son who was with me said he would like to have something from the menu.

This seemed to be an inconvenience for them as he selected to have a mixed grill. When it arrived it was a joke, it consisted of the smallest lamb chop you could imagine, one meatball, a tiny piece of chicken, and a steak about two inches square and half an inch thick.

My son was going to complain, but decided that as the restaurant was full he would just finish his meal and then we would go and not stay for the show.

We asked for the bill and waited for about half an hour and then Mehmet was asking us if we wanted a sweet which we declined and asked why we weren't staying for the show so we made an excuse of meeting some friends which didn't seem to go down too well.

We didn't eat at the restauant again during our week there and for most of that time the staff seemed very offhand with us. It seems that if you eat at the restaurant they are friendly with you but if not, they don't want to know.

This attitude was also experienced by some of the other guests I had spoken to and they said they would not be going back and they had also stayed there on a few occasions.

The hotel itself was as usual spotlessly clean, although it does look a bit tired and could do with a refurbishment.
There were plenty of sunbeds, but majority of these were taken at 6.30 in the morning as the towels were placed on the ones people liked. We spent our time on the beach most days and paid for the sunbeds there.

On our last day the man on reception gave us a ticket to give to man on the beach for free sunbeds on the hotels section of the beach. We didn't take up this offer as we went to the same beachboy everyday and he gave us beds right on the waters edge.

Another thing was the air conditioning. We stayed on the second floor and the a/c was non existant. Bearing in mind that the temperatures last week while we were there were in the high 40's and 50's the heat was unbearable in the rooms. Even the reception area in the hotel wasn't cool, they really need to do something with the a/c.

Overall, we had a great holiday in Icmeler but I felt that the hotel has gone downhill since my last visit and I don't think that I will be staying there again.

Just returned from Efes inn hotel. First class. Hotel very clean staff very friendly.

The Efes Inn was definitely the right choice by our tour operator. We found the Hotel to be very clean.

The staff were friendly and did all they could to help out with getting it right. The guys in the restaurant were brilliant, Mustafa (Musty '1') the barman, has got some great tricks, better than the magician in the show, Mustafa (Musty '2') will show you some great dance routines, 'Eddie' the Entertainer will keep you on your toes all night, and Memhet the boss is totally in charge!! and holds a deadly microphone!

It makes for a perfect holiday, but you need to get up early for a sunbed..

We made some great friends, and will return maybe in the next couple of years.

The hotel staff were great, Mustafa, Eddie, Rasu, Mehmet to name but a few, couldn't do enough for you. The only real complaint we had was the air conditioning which was very poor. We are looking to return to Efes inn but hope this has been resolved!

The reception is lovely and airy and cool but could do with a couple of pool tables in it, there is a lot of wasted space!

The pool and terrace was always clean and well kept as was the bar/restaurant area. The prices in the hotel were very reasonable and the beach activities which were also run by efes were top class and very reasonable.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone and we cant wait to return in 2006!!!!

Being our first time to Turkey-Icmilar and without family. We listened to friends experience's of resort which were positive.

We arrived late afternoon and were shown to a rather hot and humid room. We asked were was the air-con and were dissapointed at a 12" vent which were in all rooms.boy was it hot!

The patrons who visited the hotel every year. Were rather clique not at all friendly.

The staff on the whole were single minded in offering anything from land to properties.

We found the hotel rather elderly.

If anyone reading this, who as never been.

There is some superb hotels. Search, search, this site we found was excellent but unfortunately the reviews were not up to date when we were looking.

I have been to this hotel for 4 years running. It is very clean with cleaners going in everyday they are very friendly. They make me a present every year I return.

The reception staff are very nice and helpful. Also the guys in the bar are very entertaining
and friendly I have a lot of time for the staff in this hotel.

We went on the boat trip twice this year with the hotel and I found it excellent value for money.

The meals in the bar area are very good value for money.

We will be returning next year.

Well what can I say? This hotel is simply bliss! As soon as we got back from the efes this year, we booked to go again! Next year will be our 5th time staying at the efes!

The staff are very friendly and i meen very friendly! Eddie, Rasu, Sedik and Mhemet can keep you entertained for hours! Mhemet is always up for a game of chess as he is the unbeatble champion! Sedik has a wonderful boat trip which is well worth a little bit extra, you get all you can eat and drink covered in the cost!

Sedik is also forever showing you his rope tricks! Rasu is very kind and loves kids. He is also the owner of the two dogs, the rabbits and chickens. And Eddie the all night entertainer is always up for the full monty! See you guys next year!

We had a great time, all the staff were great. The boat trip the hotel does is brilliant well worth the money.

This was the second time we stayed and are going back in June next year.

Recommend anyone to go to this brilliant hotel.
