What a holiday!!!!!! Can't wait to go back. This time for three weeks!
The hotel rooms are very clean and are well maintained. The staff are very friendly and I personally commend them for their services.
Couldn't wish to have had a better holiday.

Just returned from one week at this hotel, we read the previous reports before we went and we were really concerned by all the negative comments, but we booked a cheapy so we were prepared to take whatever we got.
However I can honestly say we had a fantastic time at the Esenkoy, the family were wonderful they made you welcome and wanted you to enjoy our stay, the room was a little basic but we only slept in it so as long as it was clean we didn't mind.
We were late for breakfast on our first morning due to the fact we arrived at 6.30am and were quite prepared to have breakfast in resort, the manager spotted us and insisted we stayed and made us a fresh breakfast even though every thing had been cleared away.
This set the standard of care for the rest of our stay the staff and famliy couldn't be more helpful. We met all the guests at dinner that evening and many of then were returnig visiters, one couple were staying for their twelth visit.
The food was basic Turkish but hey why not we were in Turkey! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hotel is in a great spot, handy for the beach and main streets,
two minutes from the Dolmus route so Marmaris is a short journey away.
All in all a great place to stay.

Our first trip to Turkey, and one of the best holidays we have ever had thanks to the family and staff at the Esenkoy. We also read the previous reports on the hotel and were prepared, but not for the great time and attention every body in the hotel gave us.
The food was fine, remember "when in Rome" we were give all sorts to try and taste people we met had stayed there year after year with no problems. Infact we are returning next year for two weeks.

We thought the food would be buffet style it was fixed menu for 2 weeks we had aubergines in every way possible there was.
Never any hot water at any point in the day.
The staff, one waiter would constantly tap me on my head because I am bald I told him to stop he never took any notice on the 13th day off our holiday the waiter who tapped my head asked why we never had any drinks in the hotel this was at 11.30 at night I said I had to spend my money on extra food as there food was uneatable.
A huge argument started when the manager got involved he asked me and my partner to leave the hotel, my partner who has diabetes and high blood pressure went in to collapse with the shock all this trouble over a few drinks.
Never any hot water at any point in the day.

Me and my partner stayed at the Essenkoy on half board we thought the food would be buffet style. On the first day it was a fixed menu for one week we had every day aubergines in every way known to man the soup was very watery. The sweet was every day 3 pieces of orange 2 pieces of apple.
Also there was never any hot water all day.

My partner and my self stayed at the Esenkoy for two weeks the meals were uneatable.
There was never any hot water the family did not like you going out at night to other bars it was like running the gauntlet
I read the reports after I had booked I wished I had known about this report I will not be going back to this hotel again

I have been vsiting the Esenkoy for the last 4 years. In particular it's a cheap and cheerful small hotel and the family who run it would like you to think that they are friends of yours although they do not like you venturing out at night to visit other restaurants because they claim the guests get the rooms cheap so they should stay at their bar. They have a tendency to frown on guests who drink elsewhere at night.
The staff they employ have always been friendly up until last year when a certain barman atThe Esenkoy was so rude and disgusting to me that I asked for an apology. I never received one although he did apologise to The Management. I truly believe that if other nationalities cannot respect you then how can you respect them in turn. Needless to say I will not be returning to the Hotel.

As we were only B&B we didn't notice the food to be too bad. Had lunch there a couple of times too and it was ok.
Staff were TOO friendly. If you like someone to make you feel guilty about going and seeing the full holiday resort then you might like it. We made a real effort to have a drink with them when we came back at night or stay for lunch a couple of times as we felt they were friendly until I started to feel they were quite sleezy even though my fiance was with me. And I realise now it was just for the money. But there was only 1 night of entertainment and the staff were sleezy so why would we stay.
If you are the type who likes to eat and drink and spend most of your time at the hotel then it might not be too bad. But I certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very basic but clean,bedding and towels changed every day.
We originaly booked BB basis but was given a half board upgrade due to a special offer at the time of booking. Really glad we didn't pay for the half board as the food was terrible.
Could just manage the breakfast, very Turkish which we didn't mind, feta cheese,bolied eggs, olives,tomatoes and bread, was ok first week but second week got a bit fed up of it, as for evening meal, well can't even begin to explain how bad this was,we ate out every night.
Small Turkish family who owned and managed the hotel,nice people but really didn't like it when you didn't eat in the hotel, made to feel a bit guilty when we didn't eat in. One waiter there who was nice enough but became a bit of a nuisence,constantly pestering us ( jokingly) but my 11 year old daughter didn't like it to the point of she stopped coming down for breakfast every day.
No entertainment in hotel apart from one Turkish night, not a hotel for children. Hotel location pretty central which was ok.
Although we had a good holiday we won't be going back to Esenkoy.
