Dining areas were dirty the first week of our holiday then following complaints from guests and checks by managers it got it a little bit cleaner the second week.Breakfast was a shambles every morning it was never ready for guests at 8am we continually had to ask for things like butter,milk,serving tongs,juice,napkins,coffee and most mornings we even had to switch on the toaster.The evening meals were buffet style there was a good choice of food but it was lukewarm it was brought to the hotel by car from sister hotel across the roadwhich could take them half an hour to deliver it. We watched the food being loaded into a car when we were in the sister hotel so this explains why it was only lukewarm.
We could eat at the A`La Carte three times a week which was in sister hotel the food choice was poor,portion size was very small and the quality of the food was not good the steak was about the size of a McDonalds burger.We only had two meals there over the two weeks.
The location of the hotel is good for the shops and the beach.Reception staff ,cleaners and the girl who makes the omelettes was very good.Some of the managers were very rude and abusive to us because we complained but so did lots of other guests the young lads who cleared the tables and served drinks could do with some direction and training staff need to realise that we are on holiday and they are there to provide a service if they want to sit around they should stay at home.We did receive an apology from a senior manager but to little to late.
We never stayed in the hotel when the entertainment was on in the evening due to the poor service.This is a new hotel for 2008 which is classed as 4 star Premier Luxury Redifined you need to employ good quality of staff to provide the kind of service that people staying at this hotel will expect not a couple of guys who were serving drinks in a bar the previous year.

We had avery disappointing breakfast which (like the rest of the food) didn't change for the next two weeks. It was served in bowls standing on folds of fabric over the table. Salad,salami,cheese,bread which was usually dry and stale,pancakes which had a twang of old stale cooking fat,hard cornflakes or cocoa pops and not much else. There was no chiller to stand any of the food on which got warmer as time went on. At lunch and tea,hot food was barbequed outside. If you like chicken,rice,potato wedges,aubergines and nothing much else, you will love it here! Once the barbeque was over,the hot plate was rinsed with water, and scraped and left to stand outside in the sun. The bar smelt of stale beer and when the barman dropped my card he had to wash it before he gave it back! The pool areas were dirty too. The rear pool was peaceful but that's because very few people sat round there as there was a drain nearby which absolutely stunk.I didn't see anyone check the pool water either. No wonder we both had a bad stomach for five days! Other guests did too. I believe the hotel is being rebuilt in five or so weeks? I hope they clean their act up and get a new chef with a bit of imagination. Having said all that, we loved Icmeler,it's beautiful and the locals made us very welcome. It's lively but all the noise seems to stop around midnight. We love Turkey and will definitely be going back but I'd never return to Mersoy Hotel.

Food was disgusting the room we had was really cramped.
The lift was broken for 2 days.
The staff were hovering over you when you were eating and were very sullen all apart from the head waiter whom was very helpful.
There was no entertainment the week that we were there. The bar served the cheapest beer that they could find pira. The measures of shorts were very small compared to other all inclusive hotels that we have stayed in. During our stay we had meatballs 5 times either with gravy, barbecued, or deep fried in batter. The only other alternative was chicken kebab and barbecued chicken or wrapped in spinach. One night we had barbecued fish and what they said was beef.
We would not recommend this hotel to anybody if you don't believe us try it yourself.

We was served the same food every day for the 2 weeks after paying for all inclusive we ended up eating out almost every day some of the staff were really helpful and polite one in particular a young man called Hakkan I think !!
He was the best in the hotel, we had lots of good nights in the bar at the front of the hotel with the waiters in there are really nice, funny and chatty watch out ladies !!!
They like the English women but we really enjoyed spending time with them.
All in all the hotel was rubbish and we wouldn't go there again but Icmeler is a nice place.

The food was served on tea plates at all times and there was no variety. The food was always cold,and served outside from what I would describe a hostess trolley salads were served at all meal times and were a help yourself service which was inside the building. Even if you pay for the 4* Mersoy exclusve there are no eating or drinking facilities there you will have to go across the road to the 3*. Certainly not up to standard of even a 3*.Not even a basic thing as a toaster. Food was repetative and was always cold rice served from the hotplate,chips veg,meatballs.
The hotel was clean some staff ok some very miserable, entertainment really non exsisting abelly dancer then a man with snake then brake dancer all when food being served this lasted about 45 minutes.
Would certainly not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Food terrible, Salami only cold meat served , with breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. One meat dish served at lunch and dinner.
If you didnt like Salami or the meat dish you were left with basic salad and cold soup. There was no childrens menu, after a few days we bought our meal out, which is added expense.
The staff were miserable looking, not a smile. Some were ignorant and rude. Dirty dishes at pool,cats begging at meals, front porch filthy. Our room was lovely,clean, maid was very pleasant. Oh dinners served on tea plates and basicly same meals everyday. fitness centre you pay for every thing, same price as non guests who were brought in by vans and got priority.
All in all not a nice hotel.

There was no room ready for us when we arrived we had to wait two hours dispite the fact that our flight was two hours late. Some other travellers had to wait eight hours for a room.
I would not advise anybody to choose this hotel for there holidays.

We booked into the Mersoy Exclusive with Icemeler online and it is classed as a four star hotel, thier advert says 'great choice for families who want all expences paid before hand' it states gym, jacuzzi, health club, childrens club, shows, internet access etc.
You had to pay for everything except the indoor pool (people cut thier feet in this pool) and giving youselves turkish baths. There is no mini cinema, and after we complianed that a childrens play area is not a childrens club icemeler online changed their ad to suspendid for the rest of the season.
The hotel has less than 75 sun loungers for appox 300 guests and so people were using the dinner tables and chairs to use the pool.
The food is not what I can class as four star, as for everything except the indoor pool and health club, jacuzzi ect, is in the hotel next door which is three star.
While we were there apart from the usual salads ( which were NEVER refrigerated ) we were always served only for main dishes and for the first six days these were reheated chips, rice, chcken and one other vegetable dish.
The only evening show was once a week and was a belly dancer and break dancers who turned up while you were either queueing or eating your dinner and then they came round with the hat to interupt your dinner ( this lasted only appox 45 mins) it was not good sitting there all night in the gloom when you are four star all inclusive.
As for breakfast you had to ladle your unrefrigerated milk from a baking dish and it never varied.

Daily maid service and very clean hotel...stayed at mersoy exclusive: nice rooms, well decorated and a lot of space...good food especially if you like Turkish food with a lot of varieties.
Will definitely go back. highly recommended!!!
