We stayed on bed and breakfast basis and the food was fresh and good, though there was the typical Turkish options of bread, boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumber etc, there was also cereal, scrambled eggs and toast offered.
Whilst the rooms were small and very basic, and in need of upgrading, they were cleaned daily.
The pool was of a good size and in a private position to the rear of the hotel, with lunch time snacks served at reasonable prices, well presented and of good proportions.
The location of the hotel is ideal for the beach and nightlife with restaurants easily accessible without much walking, and yet with very little noise from the bars around.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Would only consider staying at the hotel again when a refurbishment has been undertaken.

After ready the other reviews on the Hotel Navy we were a little worried. Was this the same hotel that we had a great holiday 5 years ago? had we made a mistake?
NO
The Hotel Navy is a lovely clean small and friendly hotel. This was also our second visit to this hotel and I would have no qualms about going back again.
The location suited as very well as we are both beach people and it is very close to the beach and also the centre.
I am very suprised at the other comments. It is only advertised as an all inclusive for the dutch people apparently. There is no entertainment - so what? the hotel is only small and there is plenty of entertainment to be found in Icmeler.
Our room was very clean and quite roomy and with maid service every day.The hotel staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Memhet who ran the outside bar with Peace, Erikan who runs the pool bar, Layla the receptionist and the lovely maid Meryl who turns towels into all sorts of shapes which she decorates your bed with and a sprinkles of flowers. We always had hot water for showers.
Food is okay, even though we had booked half board we like to go out and try other restaurants.
We will definately go back again.

This is supposed to be an all inclusive hotel, the food was diabolical at all meal times, absolutely no choice, they serve you the food so you either like it or not, the buffet is only salad (which is left from breakfast).
The hotel is very clean, unfortunatley as the air conditioning card is attatched to your room key the rooms are unbearably hot. There are resturants and cafe bars all around hotel Navy, this is a good thing as you need to eat out for most meals, the hotel does have a snack bar which sells excellent food, this you must pay for it is not part of the all inclusive.
The staff at the hotel bar are very rude, they constantly upset customers, it is only after 11pm they are nice, the all inclusive ends then and you have to pay. If you would like to take a shower before going to eat in the evening it is best to use the cold one by the extra small swimming pool, as you get no water from the showers in the rooms, complaining is no good, nothing is done.
The only entertainment for adults and kids is the swimming pool which is approx. 10 meter x 4 metres, at 6pm everyone must leave the pool or they threaten the kids, telling them they will put chemicals in the pool while they are in it, at 6pm it is still over 30 degrees C, this is the only way they get to have fun in the hotel, there is nowhere for the kids to play at all,
This hotel was rated 3* when I booked it, unknown to me this was the 1st year for hotel navy as an all inclusive hotel. People who book all inclusive do expect some sort of entertainment, bingo nights, quizzes, kids disco, something simple, this hotel makes no effort at all. If your parents or a parent with a couple of kids on a budget, this is not the hotel for you, there are other 3* all inc. in Icmeler that provide day and night entertainment with good food (edible at least) and are pleasant people.
Apparently in the brochure you are told that at 12pm when you check out of your rooms, you also check out of the all inclusive, so after 12pm you cannot get any drinks without paying for them, so if you have kids who drinks gallons of water because it so hot and your flights is not till late evening, beware, you get a bill.
I must say I have never been to an all inclusive like this, it is so bad it is funny, we met loads of really nice dutch people here, and had a good laugh about how bad the place was, if you dont you'll cry or asked to be moved, in July that is virtually impossible. For a B& B I would say ok, if your expecting all inclusive standards forget it..

Since we have to kids, we thought it was a good idea to go all inclusive. that way, they could drink all they wanted and eat some icecreams during the day. We acspected, as we had seen in Turkey two years ago, a nice buffet for the meals. There was nothing like that. There was a simple salad buffet and the rest of the meal was as they served it. Every morning the same, dry bread, butter, jelly and olives and tomatoos. At first i thought that was normal in Turkey, but soon i found out, there was a lot of normal bread in Turkey, and normal things to put on your sandwich, only not in our hotel.
After a few days, my litle girl of 5 was crying at night that she wanted to go home and have a normal sandwich. She was hungry so rest of our time i bought fruit and bread for her in the supermarked. It is deffinitly not what you expect when you go all inclusive.
The hotel was also understaffed. There where four boys/men working there in the restaurant and by the pool and they did everything the whole day, seven days a week. Even in Turkey that is not normal. They worked more than 15 ours a day. What can you expect?
Our room was not the way we booked it. We had one large room divided by a big closset. Nice bathroom, but the shower was not working for the first week. One day we had warm water, and the rest of the last week we only had a cold running shower.
There is no entertainment in the hotel. Absolutely nothing. Only a bar where you can sit and where they play the same music every night. A dutch couple that we met, had a few cd's that they asked to be played. Only for one evening we had our way. The other days the bartender was onbelivable rude to all the all inclusive guests, because he was working on commission.
To many things happend this holliday, that it would take me a whole day to write it all down. I would never recommend it to anyone.

I stayed bed and breakfast. Usual Turkish grub always fresh and tasty.
My room was always clean and the maids were wonderful and honest. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and always willing and able to please.
I enjoyed it so much I took my dughter with me the next week and she had a great time. The evening bar had all it's music provided by me and many a pleasant evening was spent with good English music. No entertainment was required as I was happy to spend a quiet holiday.
Sun, sea, sand and good food alongside nice caring staff is what you get at this hotel. Russians, Germans, Dutch and English were all present and, apart from the odd complaint from people who perhaps should have booked a five star hotel, everyone got on very well.
All inclusive was a regular cry from those during the day but the prices were so low even they could afford a quiet evening in the bar with Mehmet and Baris after 11 o'clock.
My room was a good size, the hotel small and personal and we will be returning this summer.
Thanks to all the staff for making it safe for a single person to holiday in their town. xxx
