This was our first visit to Turkey so were not sure what to expect,we arrived after a very late flight to a lovely warm welcome. The restaurant was closed however pizzas were made for us and water and milk promptly delivered to our room.
The room was spotlessly clean at all times, the cleaner could not do enough for us. The room although basic was more than adequate for our needs.
We ate in the restaurant several times during our stay, the food was excellent thr choice of meals was superb and we were even made food which was not on the menu when we mentioned what we liked to eat.
Both the Turkish and English food options were fantastic, reasonably priced and portions were huge.
Hotel was located in a quiet area at the back of the resort approximately 10 minutes walk to the centre and the beach. The locals were so friendly you had no fear of walking around late at night.
All of the staff made us welcome and made us feel as though we are part of their family. We had our 20 year old son with us as he fancied a free holiday and they made him feel so welcome.
Frank and Cherry who are the owners went out of their way to make sure we were happy with everything about our holiday giving us lots of tips and advice about everything we did.
Any questions / queries we had about the apartment or the resort, trips etc were sorted out by Peter (the manager) promptly. Nothing was too much trouble.
The only organised entertainment was the Turkish night and the Quiz night however the staff kept everyone entertained every night with their singing, dancing and humour.
We enjoyed the holiday so much that we are going back in September. This is one of if not the best holiday we have ever had, thanks to all of the staff.

Plesae do not go to the Ozlem 1 apartments, they are dirty and the location is too far away from the center, its about 15 mins walk to the main area of Icmeler and about 25 mins walk to the beach, this might not sound too bad but in that heat its a killer and its uphill most of the way back. We found COCKROACH in our bedroom and kitchen area's so if they are in our room they will be in all rooms!!
The food is rubbish and the english cook only started there last season and spends most of the day and night sat at the bar drinking larger with her teenage daughter and Co. Watch your bar bill and make sure you only pay for what you have had...! Do not trust the head waiter/barman, he seems to be your friend but is not and never will be. The ground floor rooms only look out to a fifteen foot high wall to the rear and between your bedroom window and the wall is a path that leads to a staff area and they are walking past your bedroom window day and night.
Please avoid the Ozlem 1 untill they get there act together and start treating guests with respect, the only guests that get the red carpet treatment are the ones silly enough to spend all there money at the bar and on they undercooked and bland food.

Where do i start? Waste of time, rubbish location, nasty staff, rude manager, food rubbish, rooms dirty, bar prices high, Will never go back here.
My friend took a quick break with me for this week away and all the time we were asked if we wanted some company of an evening ect ect, think you understand?
forget going to the ozlem unless you like all of the above.

First time to Turkey and we had a great holiday.
The apartments were clean and had all we needed. The food was good, especially the cooked breakfasts. The pool was great for my 11 year old son and the waiters were really good in playing pool with him as there was only one other child staying at the apartments.
Done a few trips and had some good nights in Icmeler.
We would love to come back again soon.

We travelled to Icmeler, Turkey for the 1st time this year. The resort had been recommended by my parents and sisters family who had also been in May this year. My parents were familiar with the location of the apartments, therefore went to see the owners prior to our arrival to request a ground floor apartment (due to one of my children having special needs).
Once we landed at the apartments Frank and Cherry were there to greet us and assist with our luggage to our apartment along with one of the lads who worked there. Bearing in mind we were tired from the journey, our first thought was of the apartments being a little basic. However, (this is true throughout the resort after returning in September to a different hotel...more on this later).
We as a family totally enjoyed our holiday at the Ozlem 1 apartments. It suited us and the kids down to the ground. The pool area isn't the largest, but as I mentioned earlier, this was perfect for my child with special needs.
The rooms were kept spotless by the extremely pleasant cleaner, who came in everyday. The towels were changed frequently and were in good condition. The staff at the apartments were always on hand to offer advice on where to visit, best value shops and even book trips for you (Jeep Safari is not to be missed).
Food was available from the on-site restaurant, which boasted an English and Turkish cook. My son loved his bacon buttie in the mornings. We had a number of meals there, all of which were very nice, especially the Lamb joint offered to us at the end of the holiday.
The entertainment was in the form of Turkish night incorporating a BBQ, belly dancers, break dancers, folk dancers and the highlight of the evening was the illuminated robot (in my daughters opinion). The format of Turkish night is much the same throughout the village.
We enjoyed our time at the Ozlem 1 so much, that we tried to book in again for our return visit in August this year, but unfortunately they were fully booked. We decided to pay the staff a visit one evening while we were there just a few weeks ago. It was a lovely experience, we were welcomed back like family. Thanks again everyone. See you next year.

Just back from OZLEM apartments and would recommend them. Great location on village about 5 minute walk behind the school. In a residential area so no loud music
I had contacted the owners Frank and Cherry prior to arriving requesting a quiet room away from the bar( I like my sleep at night)and got this. All the bedrooms are at the back so virtually no noise at night
Place is kept very clean and rooms cleaned daily.
Had a slight problem with the shower on day 1 but this was fixed quickly
Did not eat at the apartments but they had a good menu well priced and had a good sized dining area. Restaurant usually folk in so I assume that food must be fine
Apartments had 2 decent sized balconies one at front other at rear. Big bedrooms, comfy beds plenty of storage space and hangers. Bathroom was a bit on smallish side but that did not bother us.Kitchen area again was smallish limited storage spece for storing any foods if you want to cook.2 rings to cook with, a kettle a couple of pots and limited kitchen utensils. Again that did not bother us as we ate out most of the time. If you do tend to cook when on holiday however this may be something to consider
Living area had 2 sofa chairs which would become beds if there were 4 in apartment
Decent sized swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds to gou round. No getting up at silly oclock to grab a sunbed, beds were always available and the aprtments were almost full
There were bingo and quiz nights for entertainment. A TV was in the bar/restaurant area but this was always on low and was not obtrusive, usually on SKY News.
Alaundry service is available for a small charge, which is a nice touch
Air conditioning is

We have just returned from our second visit to Ozlem 1 Apartments and we were once again thrilled with our holiday, we both had a fantastic time during our 2 week stay.
We had booked private transfer via Cherry, and when we arrived at the Dalaman Airport, we were pleasantly surprised to see Frank and Cherry had personally come to pick us up - this just felt like such a nice touch.
We soon arrived at Ozlem 1 apartments and it felt like we had never been away, everyone was so welcoming to us and it was like returning home to visit family.
There have been no changes since we were there in June, but there are some changes planned for next season. Currently there are no disabled entrances, but for next season there will be a new entrance made to the left of the bar which will enable wheelchair access. They also have plans to reduce the size of the bar to enable more sun-beds. There will also be a rental facility for hair dryers, toasters etc to make your holiday that little bit more special which allows us ladies more room in the suitcases for extra shopping.
Once again I have left clothes and personal belongings with Cherry, which she will store for us for next year, all these things add up to make our Ozlem 1 visits very special.
Staff were just as fantastic as they were at the beginning of the season, and always kept us entertained with their antics.
The rooms are kept spotlessly clean by the 2 wonderful cleaning ladies who are in every day to clean the rooms. On one night in particular, it turned very cold during the evening and Cherry and Frank ensured that we all had nice warm blankets to take to the rooms. The blankets smelt so fresh and clean, and I even got a present from Cherry to bring home which is the fabric conditioner that she uses.
The meals once again were delicious and we ate the Ozlem's 'Four Seasons Restaurant' on many occassions. The food on the Turkish night was also delicious. This was a buffet and there was no shortage of food for those with bigger appetites.
I took ill on one day while we were there and the concern shown from all staff and guests just makes this place extra special, we all felt like we were part of one big happy family. We got in with a great crowd during our stay and we had many good times at the bar and we were kept entertained by Turkish nights, Karaoke Nights, Quizzes, Pool Competitions etc.
We are both looking forward to our next trip in June 2010, which has already been booked.
Thanks once again to Cherry, Frank, Peter, Jimmy, Sado, Umer the Chef, and the 2 extremely pleasant cleaning ladies for a very enjoyable and happy holiday at Ozlem 1.

This apartment complex is fantastic... This was the first time we had gone self catering but not the first time to Icmeler as we have been several times in the past but always "all inc" before.
The food and drink are second to none, and its very good value for money too! If you want to go in to town then you will find dozens of places to eat and drink but it may cost you a few more lira and if you add all that up over the time your there... well..! The turkish night at the apartments is not to be missed.
If you want a good and fun day out then book a jeep safari, but please please wear some clothes you dont want to take back home as you will get very wet and dirty from start to finish, you see its not a safari at all... its a massive water fight between jeeps so you will need a water pistol (only a few lira each) but collect some plastic bottles to take extra water with you so when others run out..... your still full.
There seems to be a lot of confusion as to where the apartments are, if you go to there OWN website......
ozlem1.com you can copy and paste the right address in to google maps, there are a lot of sites that give the wrong location or wrong address. The staff are wonderful and so helpful, they just put the icing on the cake!
If you have never been to turkey before and need to go "posh" or expect this to be the ritz or hilton hotel, you have booked the wrong holiday, Here it is basic but very clean and everyone will bend over backwards to do as much as they can for you. Please say hi to Shaddow at the kingsland (fantastic guy) and Martin at the trust jewelery store (like a brother to us)
Just go there and expect nothing, you may just find the best holiday you have ever had, we did!! Oh just one more thing, the weather... it is very very hot during the afternoon, temp was 30.c + in sep, so if your going high season then watch out cos it will get you......
