This hotel is the worst we have ever arrived at. I say arrived at because we did not stay there, we were shown a room which was very basic, and the first thing I did was bump my head on the television which was hanging too low on the wall.40 degrees and no air con, we went to the bar only to find the drinks were undrinkable there was no dining room only a partition in the reception with a few tables squashed up behind it and a few more outside no TV room no games room no entertainment no grounds .there was a small pool with a few beds squashed up together. no way could we spend a weeks holiday there so we left our luggage in the room and went to look for better accommodation.when we returned for our luggage and to check out, our duty free had been stolen HAYS travel passed the buck when we complained, but no way should any self respecting travel agent be sending their customers there it is the pits and does not have the facilities for an all inclusive stay.

First of all, it might aswell be on the beach. It is literally not even a one minute walk?.. The staff are class. The food wasnt up to much but it aint like it cost a bomb to go out and eat. It is in a brill location, near the bars but not so close that you cant sleep or anything. its quite but if you walk 2 minutes there is bars and a lot you can do. We loved this hotel, the staff were mint. The entertainment was good on most nights when they did the dancing! You joined in and learnt the turkish dancers. People say the staff dont bother with you if you arnt you. Not at all. If you dont try talk to them, they dont really have the time to talk to you considering they are working..

have stayed at portofino 3 times.the staff are very friendly.the food is good,plenty of it.rooms are adequate.location is perfect,just a couple of minutes walk to the beach.we had some entertainment with the staff and also turkish night.

We got held up at gatwick for two hours arrived at dalaman at five o clock in the morning looking for our rep for half an hour no luck. Walked outside to complete mayhem nobody new anything. Saw one lady who told us to wait by the roadside for coach. By then it was six thirty people where pushing to get on coaces. Full up coach waited another ten min boarded coach arrived at Portifino hotel at 9 15 very tired.

At reception was told no rooms must go to other hotel down the road we said we will not and met another couple in the same boat we stood our ground and we got a room at 1 pm about time.

Room very poor holes in sheets dirty pillows yellow in colour shower head didnt work had to dance round shower to get soap of not very hot pool of water on floor with tiled floor had to keep towel on floor so we did not slip food very poor dirty staff clothes had to ask for sheets to be changed.

It says it is 3 star but on website it is 2 star it was for one week and the price was with transfers 800 pounds lt was for us the holiday from hell

The food was tailored for turkish nationals and did not vary, except hard boiled eggs 2/3 times during the stay.Beware the bread basket liners,where not changed or cleaned during stay.Cold beer freely available,but mixer for shorts had to be bought as supplied spirits/juices had poor taste,staff not friendly or helpful,except one.Main problem food hygiene,food left unrefridgerated for up to two hours,outside temp 52 degrees centigrade,overcame this by eating outside hotel.If this is 3 star turkish hotel standard,divide by two to get english rating.The air conditioning is a joke and you sweat most of the time,room cleanliness was basic.No entertainment,except noise from two competing bars directly in front of hotel mainly turkish music and loud,only entertainment by hotel,circumcision dance but the scream from the young boy put you of a bit!no joke.Hotel best left to turkish nationals and ever present extended family who run it

Hello,
I stayed at the Portofino Hotel with 3 of my friends for relaxing holiday. Over all the holiday was gr8, apart from 1 the THE HOLTEL!!! We were greeted by a not so welcoming receptionist who gave us our keys (without a smile) and lead us to our room. The rooms on the whole were ok, clean, basic ok size. We were on the top floor with an ok view. The 1st night we went in to our room, sweety from the coach trip (3 1/2 hours from dalaman) all we wanted was a shower, unfortunatly the showers we not working due to a water shortage (which we had to ask about). So not a great start to the holiday but we thought hey, never mind these things hapen. We then went down for a nice cold beer and a bite to eat. The bar had 1 beer on draft, vodka, white/red wine.... yeh thats it!! The food was ok but salad and potatoes do get abit boring every single night. There was 1 member of staff that was great (salli) and the rest dont think understood a word we said. 1 night after a few i met this girl and went back to her room to chat and sleep, nothing else, when we had a knock on the door we was confronted by a member of staff who was saying we were not aloud in other peoples rooms... we tried to explain that we were just talking but he was having none of it and rang for the manager. He was no help what so ever and just said 'not possible' and advised tht he was calling the police!!!!!! haha what a muppet. Any way i went bck to my room and slept. the next morning, it seemed all the staff there, bar salli, were giving me evils and when i asked for a drink, the guy in question slammed by drink down. (it wasnt me just being paranoid) As the holiday bore on things settled down and we had a great few days on the boat trips, quad safari, massage, jet skies etc. On our last day we had a henna tat on our backs, which granted a few specks did go on the sheets. We were waiting in reception for our coach to pick us up when the maids screamed down stairs and came running with our sheets/towels. We were 'MADE' to pay 60 lirea for the specks (and a towel that hadnt been taken away by the maids for 3-4 days which was abit dirty due to the quad safari) the receptionist (who we called happy) would not let us get on the coach untill we paid, what a great end to the holiday thats all i can say! Please if your under 30 DO NOT GO YOU WILL NOT ENJOY THE HOTEL!!!! Thanks for reading!!

The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly & helpful, the food was varied & good, the pool was clean, the local drinks were free all day, we would use this hotel again.

We were told the hotel was a 3 to 4 star which we were quite happy with.

As the holiday progressed we found that assumption to be a joke. The bed linen was only changed once in our 14 day stay and that was after we complained.

The food was terrible and mostly served cold, sometimes left overs from the meal before. Although it was all inclusive meals were at set times and snacks available only between 4 and 5 and by the time they were served it was time for dinner. The only entertainment was a pool table that you had to pay to play.

The pool was filthy and was closed for at least three days of our stay, when it opened there was too much chlorine in the water so much so that it turned our daughters hair to green, stained our swim wear and discoloured our skin and some silver ear rings.When we complained to our rep he told us we would not be moved, there would be no changes and even though it was an all inclusive the hotel was didn't have to supply anything, not even toilet rolls.

Seeing as how I was taken ill with sickness and diahorrea twice during our stay we thought that was inhumane and a joke.

We would never go back there even if we were paid to and we would urge anyone else to avoid that hotel like the plague.

Room was kept clean, towels changed daily, bed linen once. Food very basic, edible, not much variety. Fantastic location, close to beach, shops and restaurants but wasn't too loud

The hotel was very well situated.

On first impressions we were quite pleased with it but that soon changed as our holiday continued. The towels or beds where never changed and the food never varied. there was no entertainment at all.

My friend became very ill and had a bad accident evan then the sheets were not changed. They also serve tap water.
