Having stayed at the Jumeriah beach hotel in 2008, I was hoping for high standards from the Habtoor Grand. Arrived early & room not ready but that was no problem as it was,nt long be for it was. Room very clean with the biggest bed ever, great bathroom with large seperate shower. Had sea view with balcony but no furniture. Room cleaned every day, staff very nice always speak to you. Got a good english pub called the under ground, also the grill where I had the best steak ever. The only thing I did not like was the pool area, sun beds well past there sell by dates looked quite grubby, but that was the only down side. Building work all over Dubai but did not bother us. All in all a good hotel.

Stayed at the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa briefly for 3 days. Although not a known brand name I found the Habtoor Grand to be of a high standard with excellent leisure facilities for couples and families alike, plus a very good selection of restaurants, all of which I tried I could not fault.
Construction work to the front and one side of the hotel - but apart from the visual aspect (which I quickly got used to) did not cause any problems.
I would return and would recommend this hotel to family & friends.

Booked hotel at the last minute and this hotel was chosen as they catered for families occupying one room. Although check in wasnt until 2.oopm, we arrived at around 10.00am and I managed to persuade them to allow us to check-in early.
Had a Tower Family room which was clean, spacious and had TV, dvd etc and two double beds. We were offered another single but didnt need it.
Hotel had three swimming pools and two mini slides which our kids loved. Staff at the kids pool area were friendly and attentive and played with the kids. Hotel had 4/5 restaurants, goiod quality but I thought the food was pricey.
The hotel is adjacent to Jumeriah beach and has a private beach area, with lovely clear waters, and lots of space.
Staff were generally friendly, although I did find housekeeping to be a little on the slow side.
In terms of location, the positive is that it is right on the beach amongst many other top hotels. However, this is also an area that is under much construction, although it doesnt really affect one's holiday. Its a distance from Deira centre (if you want to visit it that is), and because of the traffic problem in Dubai can take a while. But the hotel has shuttles to three malls including the emirates which is about ten minutes away and this has a few places to eat at too.
Good top class hotel, just could do with being a bit closer to things as one cannot go for an evening stroll anywhere which we like to do, and the traffic problem means that one can get restricted to the hotel which offers no entertainment.
