stayed at the jebel ali hotel for 15 nights in august07,absolutely fantastic!!!! the staff couldnt do enough for you,you are treated like royalty.when loungeing by the pool you are brought ice cold towels, fruit kebabs and your face is sprayed with cold water just what we needed as temperature didnt drop below 44degrees day or night!!! the rooms are luxurious elemis toiletries in the bathroom ,mini bar, slippers, dressing gown, cable tv,tea making facilities etc.we had a sea view room and we could see the city on a clear day (40 mins away).
food is excellent there is a choice of 12 restaurants rangeing from buffet right through to the refined dining at signatures.we tried most of them and were very impressed with both the service and quality of food.
we were never short of things to do there is shooting, badminton, squash,a gym, table tennis, tennis, all types of water sports, a spa,an 18 hole golf course(which my husband had 3 rounds on -you were given water, apples and cold towels half way round-which was nice)and of course theres the pools(3of) and the miles of golden sandy beaches.
there are numerous bars in the hotel some of which have a band on plus a sports bar
one tip is to go to 'shooters' for an evening meal its a shooting club owned by the hotel(there is a courtesy bus that takes you the 5 minute drive there) my husband had a go at pistol shooting then we stayed for a meal.its a western steakhouse we had fillet steak around

This really is a first class hotel.
Staff are very friendly and the rooms are of both a high standard and kept very clean. Be aware that if you have not booked your room for your arrival day you may have to wait until 3 - 4 in the afternoon to get to it!
Evening entertainment is standard Arab fair and will not keep the 18 - 30 crowd happy but we were really impressed with the variety available in the bars.
Keep an eye on the happy hours as these will really save you a pretty penny, as you might expect, alcohol is not cheap.
The food is excellent both in quality and variety. Be warned though you must have long trousers to eat in most of the restaurants in the evenings (3/4 lengths are not allowed as we found out!) so please note the dress code standards as they do apply them no matter how hard you try and persuade them. As a half board customer you can choose where you want to use your meal entitlement.
The courtesy transport is reliable but please do book as it does get used by a lot of people.
Golf course is awesome, not cheap, but you will need your handicap card and I suggest you take your own shoes.
All in all we were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel and would happily go back again.

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights.
We loved it and the staff couldnt do enough for us.
The hotel is right on the beach.
I would say this hotel would be perfect for an "out of the way" honeymoon.

We went to the Jebel Ali on our Honeymoon !
You will be amazed how clean and how big the hotel is ! Loads for things to do during the day, if your a keen Golfer, Clay Shooting. I chose the hotel due to the horse Riding facilities, but only to be told that it was fully booked in the week I was there and also only hats available for hire. I would recommend maybe you keen horse riders to maybe book before the trip and also take some riding boots, I only had trainers and any horse-rider will know its hard to ride with trainers on ~! But don't let this put you off the beaches are fantastic.
Food was excellent.
The location is approx 30 mins drive to the centre of Dubai, but Free shuttle buses are provided
The entertainment at night is NOTHING, as we are both in our late 20's and my father is in his late 50's we wanted something to do at night. The only thing to do is have a quiet meal & drink ! Everyone seemed to be in bed for 11.00pm. We didn't want any loud discos but just some nice evening entertainment would have been nice. the weather was really hotting up we arrived 1st week of April 2006, which it was in the 28/30 deg, would like to arrive after the end of April ! But ideal hotel on a first trip to Dubai
Major Factor !!! " No Building around the Hotel "
only in the centre of Dubai "
