We found the Hotel Nikko online and booked direct, being Japanese its not a place you see offered here but we took a chance and were not disappointed.
The staff were very friendly and we got a free room upgrade as it was our honeymoon. We had a great view of Macy's and the bay bridge.
Located two blocks from Union sq you are within walking distance of all the shops, bars and Powell st cable car turnaround.
I would recommend this place on all counts , its 4 star and lives up to that rating. We didn't eat here but the bar area was stylish and reasonably priced.
