This hotel reminded me of the movie "The Shining" I immediately felt a presence when I was walking down the very long hallways to our room. I also talked with staff members and other hotel guests who encountered paranormal activites.
I personally kept hearing children in the early morning hours crying and calling for their mothers. I later found out from one of the hotel staff that the hotel was known for having the spirits of children roaming the halls. This was told to me before I announced what happened to me.
Another guests told me that he was awoken and saw a person standing at the foot of his bed and he felt the hand of a person rub his arm down to his hand. Very strange happenings, but if you like this kind of thing, you will enjoy it.
The pool area is awesome.

I stayed in this hotel and it was spotlessly clean, pool area lovely, it just reminded me of a haunted mansion??
There was wheelchairs in the hotel reception and big rocking fans above the beds in the hotel rooms.
The corridors reminded me of a scene in a horror film, with long dark corridors with wooden floors, and a trail of carpet in the middle...
I think it had a really old world atmosphere - very colonial and the Americans seemed to love it.
We never ate here - so i can't comment on the food, and in America you don't tend to get entertainment - so i can't comment on that either.
The hotel itself was nice - it just wasn't my cup of tea.
I would definately stay at the sheraton sand key resort though again.
