This is our second time we have been to this hotel and the reason why we returned was for it location, we found that Kissimmee to be in just the right place and wasn't far from Orlando Airport, International Drive or the Disney Parks by car. Outside the hotel there wasn't much for you to see by foot but then most people do hire a car and if not the hotel has a shuttle bus which I think was free to parks.
Yes Kissimmee airport is near and they do go over the hotel but I did not see this as a problem as they were only little planes and didn't see them that often.
We had a one bedroom apartment and for the two of us it was plenty big enough. The one problem we found was even those we were right by the pool which was lovely we were by one of the main gates to the pool and people liked to slam it everytime they went through, which 7am in the morning you don't really want.
The hotel and premises were clean, we only had breakfast which was ok but not very much of a selection on the cooked food. Waffles were great!!
We didn't see any entertainment as we were out everynight or relaxing from a day at the parks.
Staff at the hotel were ok but didn't like it if you didn't attend the holiday club meeting to get cheap tickets. We were just not interested.
Yes I would go back a third time. Shame it will be in four years time.

Hi all, even though we had a great holiday, and loved the oak plantation resort, there were unfortunately 1 or 2 gripes that you would have to consider if returning or actually going for the first time.
Hotel cleanliness is good, the pool areas are in excellant condition, and the clubhouse great. We stayed for 3 weeks and the rooms/apartments were cleaned regularily by courtious staff.
Hotel Food, we only ate at the clubhouse once, and it was ok, however a bit expensive considering you have a ponderossa across the road and can have a 3 course meal for 4 for under 15 quid. The rolls from the small shop onsite were first class though as a snack during the day around the pool, and the bar area does great hot dogs and alcholic slush puppies, mmmmmm.
Location unfortunately is not great, we used the 192 most nights coming home from disney and it can be 30 minutes plus as this road has quite a bit of traffic and hundreds of lights. This isnt a problem as your not on time restraints on holiday, however it would have been nicer to have been nearer the parks.
The main location problem for this resort is the fact that it is directly under the flight path for kissamee airport, and you get a continuous stream of propellor engined and small jets continuously taking off, even up to the early hours. For the first day it was quite a novelty as you can see the pilots its that close, however when you get waken up most mornings by this noise, it becomes frustrating.
Hotel staff and entertainment. I wasn't to sure if there was evening entertainment as most nights we were out until after 11pm. However we were told that there were movie nights by the pool. Samantha was the entertainments director, and she was great at keeping the kids occupied in the day doing arts and crafts, so that was an unexpected bonus as it gave my wife and I the opportunity to sunbathe for a while.
Lastly, my only other complaint was noisy air conditioning and a really noisy refridgerator. If you have a one bed apartment, like us there is a good chance you will have to turn the fridge off if you want to sleep.
All in all, and apart from the noise, we loved the resort, and if the deal was good enough we would probably revisit with ear plugs......
