We stayed in Highlands Reserve for our family holiday in October 2005.
The villas were of the highest quality with all the amenities you could ask for (well, apart from a dishwasher but that was my job).
There is a shopping complex only 2 minutes away with a supermarket, chinese takeaway and pizza parlour so everything you need is only a short hop away.
There is also a HUGE Walmart only a 5 minute car journey away so everything you need is very close by. When staying on the Highlands Reserve sub-division, you get use of the Regal Palms facilities. Here you will find a lovely swimming complex with there own lazy river and a bar which shows all major sporting events. I can't recommend the restaraunt here highly enough. We had a 3 course meal for 9 people with drinks included for about $250 - thats about
