the cb is a good resort and has very nice grounds. However, the first night we arrived we did see an aligator in the pond but were told by other guests that they are very shy creatures. The resort location is exellent if your going to disney parks but if your going to universal or seaworld, its location makes it difficuit but bus service is good. Staff are friendly and helpful i really cnat say a bad work about my holiday.

agree with most of what has been said about this hotel .we stayed at disney all star music last year and were led to believe this was better standard ,but we found it as far as rooms go much the same. location in disney area is not important as transport takes you wherever you want to go anyway.all in all this hotel is fine.

We stayed from 02/06/07 until 16/06/07.

We arrived Saturday afternoon at about 16:30 at the Customs House aka reception. Where we were met by a bell hop, he took our bags and name and said to come to the window and a hop would take us to our room with the bags.
After a pretty short check in, we were met buthe hop and taken in a mini van with our bags to the room.

We stayed in Barbados building 11, which is about a 10 minute leisurely paced walk from Old Port Royale.

The room was well spaced, and clean. Inside the room there are two double beds. Word of warning they are not full size doubles, I was expecting bigger beds in America. A TV, fridge, coffee maker, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. A vanity room containing clothes hanging space, twin sinks and a bathroom with 3/4 bath toilet and shower.

Back to the beds, they are very high off the ground, this concerned us as we had a toddler with us who is sleeping in a bed at home, so we had housekeeping bring us extra pillows for cushioning in case of falls.
I would have expected a bed rail to be provided / available.

Housekeeping came in every day although they weren't very consistent, and I found this varied with the tip left a poor tip left things like the coffee machine not cleaned, a deccent tip meant everything was done properly and the maid would make animals from wash cloths/ towels for the kids. We came back one day to find the kids Disney soft toys watching the Disney Channel and Mickey holding the remote.

The nearby pool was clean and a decent size and depth, but no lifeguard. The only guards were at the Old Port Royale pool.

Old Port Royale is where the restaurants and shops are located. A good range of Disney products are available and also essentials including English newspapers on the same day. (about 2.5 dollars for a daily mail)

The food court serves breakfast and fast food meals throughout the day of a reasonable standard.

Also located there is Shutters Restaurant.
We ate one night and I would not go back there.
I found the food bland. The service was terrible, we got our starters and two minutes later the main courses came out.I told the waiter we had just got the starters, so he took them back and left them on the side, when we finished the starters hebrought themains back, which by now had gone cold and congealed, I had to tell them to take them away and we wanted fresh meals, which we got, after that we were given the short shrift. I told the waiter when we got the bill to remove the tip as I did not tip bad service and food.

Checking out was a painless operation as we just charged any services to the Visa,so we didn't needto queue. Handy to know as US customers can do their airline check in at reception so it's a very big queue.

Transport is plentiful with Disney transport every 20 minutes to the parks and taxi's easy to obtain,via Mears Checker Cabs from the concierge.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and would reccomend the DCBR to anyone with a family and would definatly go back there.

BTW handy hint you can watch the reflections fireworks from the boardwalk, and wishes if you face towards the Customs House.

We went for 17 days, end of May-beginning of June, and stayed in barbados, block 15. The pool was nice and not over crowded. The staff were very friendly and my daughter loved the animal toys that they made. We could see the epcot fireworks from our room. The food was great with a good selection, the shop had a marvellous souvenier selection and my family and I would highly recomend staying at the Caribbean Beach Hotel, we have been the last 2 years and can't wait to go back!

We really enjoyed this hotel. We were a family of 7, which were myself and my husband our children and my mother. The children were 17, 16, 11 and 7.

We stayed in the Jamaica section of the resort, which was not too far from the main pool and shop.

We had 3 rooms, which were clean, and the maids came in every day.

Staff were really friendly, everyone said hello, especially to the kids.
