we actually stayed in the Fort Wilderness Lodges.
Compact to say the least, but you dont spend much time in them.
Great for the outdoors, really handy for travel, as the disney picks you up and drops u off.
Great campfire nights, sing a longs, shows and bbq's
brekfast was great in the ho down restaurant.
the chalet cleaners were great, everything was cleaned and tidied everyday

The hotel was stunning in the lobby, and garden areas, and the staff were lovely. Because we were on honeymoon, we were upgraded to a court view room, which was nice but was a disabled room. I cannot say that the room was spotless as it wasn't. My hubby had thrown up one night and we noticed that this was not cleaned for 3 days. If you looked hard you could see things were not clean clean. The beds were comfortable, the views stunning as on floor 6. We were a flag family too which meant getting up early and going on the very top of the hotel to raise the flag - good fun! Ranger Stan was great bless him. The foods outlet s were good. The roaring forks was a quick service establishment, Whispering canyon was a sit down table service place and Artist Point was fine dining. We had bus and ferry service to Magic Kingdom, which was very close, and there was a seperate ferry to Wilderness campground and Contempory resort. We ate at both places. Also buses ran to all the theme parks and water parks along with Downtown Disney. Only problem we really had was there were doing rehearsals for Grad night, and the music and fireworks were going off at 2 am but, was quite exciting to nip into the hallway and watch outside! Oh, and everynight at 9.35 is the electric water pagent, that everyone goes wild about, but if you like outdated music and lights from the 80's then I am sure you too will love it. Not exactley the satndard I would expect from Disney! If you book here do not expect the hotel to be of the upmost highest standard, you are paying for location. Once you get your head round this you will enjoy it. We haad a great time and hope to go back one day

This is a beautiful hotel. However the rooms are small for the price paid and the catering is inadequate for a stay of more than a few days. The staff could be rather abrupt and unfriendly. The 'Roaring Forks' snack bar is the smallest of any Disney hotel we have visited with a very small selection of food and not enough seating, very squashed together. The 'Whispering Canyon' restaurant while amusing is very noisy and not somewhere you would want to eat more than once for the experience! The position is convenient for the Magic Kingdom, but nowhere else.

What a wonderful hotel this is.
We had an amazing week here in celebration of our wedding anniversary. I will never forget walking into the incredible lobby with its towering totem poles and huge stone fireplace, it was well worth the complimentary guided tour just to learn the history of the hotels concept.
The atmosphere is cosy and family friendly, the whispering canyon cafe was a very liberating experience, especially for us shy and retiring brits, but we soon got involved in the fun ( dont think my teenage daughter will ever ask for ketchup with her breakfast ever again though ).
The Roaring Forks cafe was great for informal snacks, lunches and dinners, and the bar lounge was a haven when we needed to escape the teenagers, we also had some fantastic cocktails, beers and bar snacks in here.
The Artists Point restaurant is fab for that special dinner. The pool was great we all enjoyed the rock waterslide, and jacuzzi it was wonderful to cool down in the pool after long days at the park.
The hotel shop sold everything from toothpaste to tinkerbells and proved to be extremely useful.
We couldnt fault this hotel at all.
