This hotel is all about location - Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, The Loop and Millennium Park - everything is within short walking distance.
We always request a room on a high floor so street noise is never a problem, and therefore were not disappointed with our allocated room in the east tower on the 33rd floor right at the end of the hallway - it was absolutely quiet, with beautiful views of the city.
No problems with hot water or the towels - the bathroom was large and modern, and we found the bed very comfortable.
The room was very nicely decorated in contemporary design and spacious enough, with nice decor.
The bathroom was beautiful.
One thing to bear in mind, they have sensors in the minibar in your room, so you'll get charged even if you just move something.
The front desk and concierge were very helpful, and made it easy for us to get around Chicago.
We found the hotel staff very professional, and accommodating to say the least.
The Big Bar within the hotel has a great view and some great drinks, even if they are a bit on the pricey side.
There are numerous restaurants in the area.
If you don't want to spend too much money on your breakfast go to Houlihan's next door to the hotel, they have a breakfast buffet every day for $9:99.
We used the Loop to get around, and it is about a ten minute walk from the Loop to the hotel.
This hotel is in a lovely area of Chicago so the walk isn't too bad.
The Tribune and Wrigley Buildings are across the river from the hotel (and must be seen at night to be really appreciated), Millennium Park is a short walk away and you are moments away from the Magnificent Mile (just across the bridge).
The tourist bus tours are also across the bridge from the hotel so this makes it convenient.
Everything taken into consideration, we found this hotel fantastic, and will definitely stay here again.
