We stayed on the Executive floor.
Room was great- loads of space, nice bathroom, comfy seats and a small table, minibar, tea and coffee facilities and an iron and board- which is handy to have! We looked out onto the Mississippi.
The executive lounge was not the best we have been to but it was good enough. One or two staffing issues could be overlooked as New Orleans has massive problems getting staff- nowhere for them to stay.
There are two swimming pools- we did not get round to using them. Hubby used the Health Club and could not believe the size of it- bigger than most hotels! It has
six indoor tennis courts and three racquet ball and squash courts, volleyball and basketball courts, football pitches, a full swing golf practice area and all the gym equipment you could imagine.
The hotel is part of the Riverwalk shopping centre, it has over 140 shops in it. Along the riverwalk itself are many tourist attractions.
I probably would go there again but to be honest, it was a bit too big for my liking. It is an easy 15 min walk to Bourbon Street. You could probably do it quicker if you go along the Riverwalk- I just wasn't too comfortable with the walk at night.
A lot of poor souls sleep out in the open there- most were probably in work but nowhere to stay.
