I would like to state that we did not use the basic rooms but upgraded for a little more to a 'GO room' back here in the UK. When we arrived they asked us if we wanted to upgrade to a 'GO" suite for $25 a night extra. We figured we would do this as it possibly wouldn't be coming back to Vegas as we want to see more of the USA states. The go suite was a penthouse suite and although we may only sleep in it, we played the ipod in the dock station and dvds we watched. We have 3 large screen flat to the wall in the lounge area, the bedroom and the tv in the mirror in the bathroom. All curtains/drapes were swish with remote, and the blinds as well. We had x2 telephones which were cordless. The bed was the most comfiest we had ever slept in and was huge. We had a fridge and fans that glided to which speed you wished and was very quiet. The bathroom was gorgeous and had a great tub and jet stream shower that hit the right pressure points. The room has views of all the pools, we were so glad to upgrade. There was no way i would venture into the basic rooms, they are so dated, unless of course you are on a tight budget.
The hotel is smack bang in the heart of the strip. Food was a little on the expensive side, but then to me, vegas isn't cheap anyway unless you are gamblers. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, but the maid who did our room always left it clean.
The pools are very nice and the gardens are well kept, certainly better than some 5 star hotels we visited that did not have any ambiance at all, more like conventions hotels. The only thing we did not like was no sun bed cover mattresses, so after a while you slid through the chairs.
Generally i found the hotel very clean and tidy, and yes if we ever came to vegas again, we would certainly go in the same room again.

I stayed at this hotel a few years back, as part of a trip to Las Vegas. I was very impressed with the hotel and it offered great value for money. The room itself had a fantastic view over the strip, huge double bed and all the entertainment needs you require - TV, stereo including CD, radio and IPod dock.
The bathroom was very luxurious and even included a television so you could watch TV whilst having a bath!
The hotel itself is huge and has lots of facilities (including the obligatory casino) to ensure you are never bored. Totally recommended!

Our 2nd trip to Vegas , and this was a good choice hotel.
The room was upgraded to a strip view and was clean as was the pool area ( albeit a bit crowded ).
Great location and the breakfast was great in the breeze buffet as was all the menu ( i tried most of it )
Would reccommend this hotel to families and couples alike.

First time visiting las vegas booked the Flamingo as they were offering a good deal, excellent hotel on the strip near everything, rooms large very comfortable, three outside pools, jaquizzi which were heated, not much entertainment at this time of year at the hotel but there are lots of shows, free entertaiment at other hotels close by that it does'nt matter
Travel operator: booked flights & hotel seperate
