This hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Tribeca, 4 blocks from Brooklyn Bridge, 4 blocks from World Trade Centre site and on top of a subway line. Times Sq. in under 10 mins.
Expect to pay an average of $200 a night, which for Manhattan is unbeatable. Rooms and all public areas are immaculately kept and the cleanest I've seen in NYC.
It's no frills, but expect a comfortable bed, fresh towels and rooms cleaned daily, a desk, closet space, telephone, hairdryer, cable tv that works, your own bathroom and either a ceiling fan or window air con unit.
There is no room service, but Starbucks and two cafe's are directly downstairs. Book this hotel and you'll have plenty of spare cash to spend whilst having a great hotel to stay in.
The immediate area has some construction going as a result of 9/11 but it's not so intrusive as to spoil the experience, it's also safe and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
