The New Yorker Hotel was a very nice, comfortable hotel in an amazing location. On the direct line from the airport so easily accessible, literally a minute from the subway so very easy to get around. As a group of three young women, we felt very safe in the area no matter what time we came back, we appreciated the security in the lobby.
The room was a good size; the bathroom was a bit dated but apart from that very nice. Maid service every day, very friendly, good service.
Avoid the Tick Tock Diner downstairs though, nice enough food but a bit pricey for what you get and bad service. Go down the road to the Starlight diner, cheaper, less busy and better food.

Back again from 12 days in the New Yorker, this was our second trip here in 2 years, I absolutely love this hotel.
The location is fabulous, with everything a short walk away. Plenty of transport available outside the front doors, from the Subway to the Port Authority bus terminal which is a couple of hundred yards up the avenue.
I won’t bore you with another review. Just wanted to point out how good this hotel is. Again.

fabulous hotel central location room was small but very clean and tidy. staff were very helful and could answer all our questions and gave us very good directions to where ever we wanted to go. 24 hour restaurant was good food very reasonably priced, very close to time square most places were a walkable distance, would book here again for sure it was only the weather that let us down rose mortimer

Just arrived back after 1 week in the Hotel New Yorker, I will be going back there next year without a doubt.
The hotel was spotless, the staff super friendly, very helpful with directions on the maps, and always smiling.
The room we had(1 Queen bed) was completly fabulous, when you consider how much time we spent in there, we were up at 7:30 every moring, out on the roads by 08:30 and tucked up in bed watching HBO at about midnight.
Bed was super comfy, great pillows, Shower was fabulous, really blasting, never felt so clean in all my life, no noise from the outside, Ice machine on evry couple of floors with a vending machine too.
Air conditioning was superb in there too(it was up in the 100's when we were there) we needed it.
location is just fantastic, right next to Penn station so the subway would take you anywhere you want to travel. The Port Authority bus terminal was about 200 yards up the road too, Pharmacy just across the road, banks about 50 yards away.
This hotel is an absolute beauty. It has everything you need for a super base in New York.
