The Rock is a small B&B over a public house. Run By Jen and Paul. They only have 6 rooms but all are well appointed and all are en suite. All have Sky TV. Bedding, towels etc are all high quality. Breakfast is unusual in that the accommodation has its own fully equipped and stocked kitchen and guests help themselves as and when they feel like it. The kitchen is also available in the evenings and at night for making drinks etc.
The owners think of everything as in addition to food and drink there is also a supply of everyday medicines (throat sweets, etc) car de-icer sprays and also complimentary razors etc should a guest have forgotten to pack one. The accommodation has free Wi-Fi should you need it and is well supplied with information and suggestions of how to enjoy the local area.
Downstairs the pub has an excellent restaurant with a wide ranging menu and friendly staff. No fruit machines or one armed bandits nor a juke box in sight. On Friday nights a pianist entertains. They also have tapas on the bar for a small charge if you don't fancy a full meal.
