I stayed in the hotel for the weekend as part of a ‘Mature’ stag group. Only minor point was the noise at night due to its brilliant central location. When I say night, I mean 4am when you are just trying to get to sleep.
Parking for the hotel is in the NCP car park just 50 yards away. Make sure you check the rates as it is cheaper to buy a week ticket than pay for three days over the weekend. The train station is a 2 minute walk away.
The hotel is brilliant. Clean, modern and far from ‘basic’. Reception staff were really nice and at no time were we treated any differently due to the basis of our stay. There were a couple of other groups of stags and hens here, we noticed that they all seemed to be in the same ‘mature’ bracket as us.
The rooms were really nice and although not massive they served their purpose as somewhere to shower and sleep. Like the rest of the hotel they were very clean, new, modern and was just the job.
We spent a few hours in the hotel bar, which also had really friendly staff – even at 3am. A barman called Jakob did well to fend off some drunken antics and always greeted us by name when we went in.
Great hotel, great location and friendly staff. What else do you need?

We booked an overnight stay at this hotel as we were attending a 'hen do' in Cardiff.
It was very reasonably priced at £80 per night for a room with a double and single bed.
Location was next to Cardiff central station, so right in the centre of the shops, bars and restaurants of the city and just a very short taxi ride away from the bay.
The hotel was spotless and the reception staff were friendly. There was an impressive, spacious bar area with TV on the first floor.
Our room was fairly large with a ceiling to floor window overlooking the train tracks. We had a hospitality tray supplied with tea and coffee making facilities.
Despite the hotel being right next to the railway station and being used by a lot of 'hen' and 'stag' parties, it was very quiet and also suitable for families.

A very central hotel - right next to Cardiff Central train station and a short walk into the centre of the city. For its location, a very quiet & well run hotel.
The reception staff were pleasant, and check in was smooth. We were impressed with the welcome area which was spotlessly clean, and had comfortable seating. The bar and breakfast room were on the first floor, and again the area was welcoming and spacious, although drinks were expensive.
The room was a nice size, with a large floor to ceiling window, which unfortunately couldn't be opened without the discretion of the reception staff. The view was non-existent - just the train tracks! However there was air conditioning, which although noisy, served its purpose. Wardrobe space was good, but drawer space was lacking. There was an iron and hairdryer in the room & there was a complimentary tea tray which included biscuits.
The bathroom was compact, but had both bath & shower
We paid £80 for a room which had a double and single bed, so we got what we paid for. Would I stay here again - yes for a night or two.
