This is a beautiful 140 room hotel located in the middle of the main street of Cardiff. All public areas literally sparkled, and the staff were superb. The rooms were a decent size, simply furnished with pristine white bed covers with burgundy throws & cushions. Fairly small the bathroom still had all that was neccessary, including complimentary toiletries, shower cap etc. We could have had a bathrobe & slippers if we wanted, but didn't bother. There was a lovely selection of coffees & teas and shortbread biscuits, which were replaced daily. When we had an extra cup one evening I asked one of the chambermaids if I could have some more. She pointed to the trolley in the corridor and told me to help myself & if I wanted more toiletries to help myself. Although we didn't eat here, what we saw looked beautifully presented & piping hot. The only draw back to the hotel, was that its central location meant a lot of noise from the main street when people were going home from the pubs & clubs. Would we stay here again - certainly, but I would request a room that didn't overlook the main street. Well deserving of its 4 * rating. We had our room on a special for
