I'm glad you enjoyed Cala Millor, although I'd say it's changed a bit in 30 years My parents are staying in the resort in a few weeks time, so I can let you know how they got on.

The Hotel Sabina is still there.

The resort is still lovely (I visisted it with my family about 28 years ago) we found it again in 1999, went back 2002, 2004 and are booked up again for this summer.

It's a nice, clean resort and very much family orientated - don't think I've ever seen a lager lout so no worries about getting caught up in the 18-30 scene which is a relief!

I think you'll love it - yes there are more touristy shops and hotels and apartments than there was 25-30 years ago BUT I think it's still retained a lot of it's original charm and I'm sure we will continue to go back there.

Tisonlymoi, can I ask you if you know the Castell De Mar Hotel, on the promenade in Calla Millor. My parents are going there for 2 weeks in July. Can you recommend any nice restaurants and bars in the resort?

The Castell Del Mar is at the farther end of Cala Millor. I haven't actually been in it but looks okay from outside.

It's mainly German bars/restaurants down that end altho' there are a few English Bars (think the Sportsmans is down that end) but if they head up towards Cala Bona there's a lot more British eateries and bars.

I can highly recommend CHEERS Bar in Cala Millor for freshly cooked food - we've never had a bad meal there yet! Sunday/Wednesday roasts are DELISH!

Hi, about 35 years ago when I got engaged to my husband we went to Cala Millor and stayed in a fairly small place called Hotel Sabina on the sea front there.

Does anyone know what has happened to this Hotel and if it is still there. We would like to go back and reminisce (aah!). We dont remember an awful lot about the place as it was so long ago but did enjoy the holiday.
