Did not sail on this ship but on Navigator of the Sea sister ship over New year period it was wonderful. Champagne toast lovely entertainment, special gala meal drinking starbuck's coffee and eating chocolate chip cookies at 3 in the morning, we loved all of it
Miami was great and sailing out of it at sunset with a cocktail and calpso band playing was unforgetable
can't wait until next time

Just been reading the comments re RCI's Explorer and Voyager ships. My wife and I had a wonderful week on Voyager last November, our first cruise, the Cunard snobs would proably find it too brash and lively, however due to the vast size of the ship it never seems crowded and we loved it, especialy the formal nights. To enter the large wide attrium and be greeted by impeccably dressed staff holding trays loaded with glasses of champagne really set the night of to a great start, a couple of exotic looking cocktails and a pint of buds to take into the dining room and I was sorted. Regarding the prices of drinks as reviousely mentioned, $4.50 was the price for local beers like Budweiser, $5.50 for imported, ie- Boddingtons and Bass, cocktails were around the same price though the cocktail of the day was usually cheaper. Wines tended I thought to be a bit pricey around from $25 a bottle. We never tried the pay restaurant, Portofinos, as the choice and quality of food in the main dining areas was excellent, though our lobster tail was overcooked and rubbery, we could have just sent it back and ordered the ranch house steak and fries instead but being quite full just passed. Our table companions from Miami and a cuban couple would order two main courses each just in case they were not keen on one of them, the waiters did not blink an eye, they wanted their tips at the end of the cruise!. The most us staid english folk did was to order two starters a couple of times.
The Windjammer cafe provided a superb selection of buffett delights, my wife love the thick carved roast beef whilst I would go for the caribbean coconut curry, on a couple of days we sampled the Johnny Rockets diner, best crispy onion rings ever, lean tasy burgers. The trouble with all this was neither of us were able to partake of the twice weekly midnight buffett, though a lot of others did. Of the thirteen bars we managed a drink in each before settling on a favourite piano bar next to the casino.
Regarding the pros and cons of a balcony, as the cruise was quite a bargain price I paid the supplement for a balcony and must say we really enjoyed being able to chill out there at the end of the night, around 1 or two in the morning supping our vodkas watching the stars with a warm balmy breeze across our faces. We also had our tea and coissants out there in the morning. After saying this I would probably stick with an inside in the future as the extra cost could be better spent on our drinks bill.! As far as the entertainment went, Broadway style shows bore me, I fell asleep after ten minutes one night, however most people were very enthusiastic. All in all I can heartily reccomend the Voyager, any questions I will be happy to help out.

Absolutely Fantastic in every way. You will not want to leave the ship it really is a floating town.

Entertainment was very good, ice skating, shows and comedian.

Food excellent with 50's diner, pizza, and several restaurants.

Pools were great, especially the VIP pool where there are no kids!

Cannot recommend enough.

I went on this cruise almost 2 years ago and LOVED it. I went with 5 friends and we stuck out a complete mile!!! Not the usual holiday for a group of young free and single 25 years olds!! hehehe...

From the moment our cruise started it was just fab. There was 3 girls in cabin with a balcony and myself and one other girl had an inner cabin overlooking the atrium. (so we got to see what both were like!!)

We were amazed at the 24hour supply of food... Took full advantage of the Cookies and Pizza etc! Very handy for a snack on the way back from the nightclub at 4am!! hehehe... We befriended 2 of the musicians on the boat, both drummers, one played in the egyptian lounge(can't remember what it was called) and the Jamacian dude that plays in the band by the pool!! They were great fun and looked after us all week... People actually thought we were a girl band and Chris was our bouncer!! Hahaha... All the staff were most helpful and our head waiter gave us a great giggle every night...

The food was just delish. We had dinner in the magic flute (or whichever floor we were on, I can't remember!!) every night and really enjoyed the selection of food and wine on offer! The little mid dinner entertainment every night was a great novelty aswell... Unfortunately, we enjoyed our meal so much that we were too stuffed to eat the amazing food on display later one of the nights... I've never seen such amazing creative things done with food before!! Looked too good to eat!! hehehe...

I did find the excursions slightly overpriced and we also organised our own excursions directly ourselves. It was much more fun!! We even managed to get to Dunns Falls before everyone, so we got to climb it uncrowded and without the queues!!

There was just sooo much to pack it that it wasn't possible to do it all! Missed the Ice Show which I was really disappointed about but I guess it's an excuse to go back again!!! hehehe

Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone. We all said it was the best holiday we've ever been on - see cruises aren't just for familys and grannies!!! hehehe
