Well i do know that thomsons/portlands monday flights from the london airports are practically full for the week we go 23rd july. luton flight is full . the stansted flight only had 13 seats left when i added my sons girlfriend last week and pretty much the same for the gatwick one. The stanstead flight is even operated by first choice so looks like all the tour operators could be pulling together. maybe they will add more flights later.

I was originally booked on the luton flight going out around 4pm via portland but i found out by accident that that flight has been put back by about 5 hours turning the flight times very nasty. but i found out in time to be changed onto the stansted flight which they did for me without any excess charges.

As far as I know, our original Thursday flight was full too - I dont know why they have pulled it, perhaps people have been cancelling?
It has been pulled for all of May and June, but I assume it is still running through the busier summer months.
Anyway, as I said, it has actually turned out better for us anyway

Just got a letter today from Cosmos saying that the Glasgow to Dalaman has been withdrawn and offered us Manchester to fly from. As we are 4 hrs drive north of Glasgow I did not fancy an 8 hr drive to Manchester and have told them to stuff it and give me my money back. I think there will be reduced flights to Turkey next year with tour operators and this might happen with some of the bigger ones.

we too had to change our flight as no flights from( ema )to antalya early may. just got my details through the post and now even cheaper £445 for 2 people h/b 5th june2 wks. it was £541 in may!.think i will pay rest off now and not say anything. hard to get just flights at that price

Dont forget everyone, what happened with the outbreak of bird flu at the beginning of the year, lots of planes were taken off with some only to be put back on again at a later date.
Obviously what has just happened with the bombings has freaked people and a lot have cancelled their booked trips or it could just be the tour ops predicting, because of what happened that people wont go thus saving themselves some money by not flying half full planes.

Excel have cancelled their Glasgow to Dalaman route for next year too

We have with excel flying from Newcastle for next year up to now everything xxxx there are still going ahead.

But only time will tell its just a worry every year the company are doing this realising flights then pulling out to later date's or different airport's

Like us we booked with Excel now flight time's with them have always been depart 7am return 5.30pm good times.

When we booked a few months ago flight times were depart 7am return 00.05am which isnt really bad, i phoned them and asked if we could change them to a Friday flight so we could have the 7am dept and return t.time.

They quoted me £190 extra to pay so i said in Oct we will change and pay difference after we had our holiday this year year.

Went on web site 2 weeks ago to change them over to Friday flight only to notice that they have taken the Friday flight off altogether

Good thing is the Monday flight what we have booked has now changed its time's to the normally time's off 7am dept returning 5pm ish.

So that has saved us nearly £200 am just so glad i didnt changed it and pay the excess in Sept.

This summer Portland (ie Thomsonfly) pulled their summer Friday flight, Gatwick to Dalaman. We were consolidated onto a Mytravel flight. They did give us plenty of notice on this as it involved a 7 hour change in departure time.

I guess Thomson and Airtours didn't want to fly two half full (half empty! ) planes. Common sense really on their part, but annoying I suppose for anyone who needs to depart at a specific time.

I think the earlier you book the more likely you are to get these kind of changes.

early on this year our flight from glasgow had to land at birminham and pick up more passengers ,,and i thought the same that it was going to be quiet this year ,but that was because of various events like bombs and bird flu , but it soon picked up as the season went on , i would not read to much into this just yet

As i've said before on different subjects within the Turkey Forum, give it time. After all, it is still October 2006. Get Christmas out of the way and then hopefully, people will start thinking about the 2007 campaign. We don't as a rule start looking on the internet until xmas time and then Book up in January or February. I have, for some time now, wanted to go to the Turkish part of Cyprus and have made tentative enquiries accordingly. Whilst waiting to check in at Gatwick last month to go to Kusadasi. A couple behind us had changed their Booking to Portugal but were regretting their decision as they would rather have gone to Turkey. Hopefully, having spoken to us, they will make it to Turkey in 2007 as I hope that many other people will. I have said it before and will say it again, Turkey NEEDS OUR TOURISM so let's not disappoint them in 2007.

This year has been very quiet we were there in July and it was quite then even before the bomb's went off.

We also stayed in Olu Deniz in May and that was very very quite it was our first time to that part off Turkey so dont know what its usually like?

In 2008 i know its a long way off there is 30 off us planning to go so it wont be quite then

And the list gets bigger every week so who knows by 2008 maybe 60 or 70 off us will be going

hi , cant believe all these flight alterations.We too have just had notification of our birmingham flight in july now cancelled all of summer 2007 and our alternative is Manchester.Not good as flight times were really bad anyway,now they have just got even worse due to the change of airport now being 2.5 hours away from home.Just trying to sort it all out,but have heard nothing.We have till monday dead linto accept alternative flights.Just hope we can sort it!!!!

I looked on the internet to price up a holiday before ringing them back to sort out our rebooking, so I knew what was available to swap to, our new holiday was actually £360 cheaper with better flights
Some friends had booked a holiday going on the same flight as us that was cancelled, but they were going for 11 nights and there was no alternative flight at all for them, their holiday was totally cancelled anyway, they ended up getting a fortnight in a better apartment for £290 less than they had originally paid
Hopefully you will find something better too!

Well I will definitely be back to my beloved Marmaris. Booked first two weeks in May then probably another 2 weeks in September. Just back over a week and it already seems like an eternity ago.

if you need specific times and dates of arrivals sometimes it not much more to fly Schedule
it seems to be alot of cancellations from up the midlands and machester but it may be better to do a more refined search for a flight and do a diy holiday
as the big thing seems at the moment all inclusive with the major players

I didnt think there was much schedule to DLM,AYT and BJV
