Hey all

Just another little hint for those of you travelling with kids!

I have already mentioned this to Vicky - but I would thouroughly recommend taking "play/beach" shoes for the kids. I made sure mine had something on their feet at ALL times. The ground is red hot and the sand is boiling and I was there in May. Also the ground is extremely slippery and there were quite a few insects etc on the ground so even in the pool mines had these on.

Got mine from ebay and saved a fortune!

 D Harty Hi, no you dont have to pay on leaving Turkey and the £10 you pay to enter the country covers you for three months so if you fancy going back in a few months for another break you can use it again.

Thanks to all those who have been returning and leaving great reviews for us to read. We have lots of tips now and think we will be fully prepared!

A question though! Those that have had kids dens all seem to be saying thier view is not that great. Is this the case with all of them?

Cheers

Hi I have been reading avidly over the last few weeks and cant explain how excited we all are. Only 4 sleeps to go.
The only subject that never seems to get covered is storage. Maybe i am being too finicky but last year the one small wardrobe we had only had a handful of hangers. Does anyone suggest I take a few hangers, only I dont want to spend the whole holiday ironing.
Any replies would be much appreciated. :?

See everyone soon

 Hi Ginny, there is loads of storage space, two double wardrobes with shelves and hanging space there was about ten hangers in each which wasnt enough for a family of four so you might be wise taking some, I didnt and didnt do any ironing either because everything was nicely laid out there was so much space, there is two good sized dressing tables, little coffee tables and bed side tables so I dont think you will have a problem. Mind you we had interconnecting family rooms cant comment on the other rooms.

Thanks Debbie

We will have a family room also, having 3 kids. I can hear them squabbling already as to whom is having which bed etc. HO HUM!!!!!

Probably will take a few hangers anyway.

I havent booked soccer school, tried ringing up this evening but office closed until tomorrow. What chance do I have of booking places bearing in mind we go on Saturday and also what cost is involved. My 9 yr old will be gutted by this little oversight

Many thanks

I read on this forum (Quite some pages ago!) that if you pay for soccor school whilst in the hotel, it costs more.

We are booking 4 sessions and I think it works out to be £45, where as on the resort, someone reported it being around £20 a session

Have a great time, let us all know how you get one (And take some photos for us please?)

Cheers

 Hi Paul, we paid £25 for each of our kids for soccer school that was for three days and because me and my sister had four boys between us we only paid for three to do it and got one free, we did then pay extra for them to do another day later on in the fortnight but they loved it, I dont think you will have a problem getting him booked, you go to the welcome meeting on the first day and sign up there.

Good luck and have a fab time.

 Vicky, ours went three consecutive days and the fourth day was a week later for a tournament, thats just how we booked it though I dont know if you can stagger them if I was you I would try it was a pain getting up and getting them breakfasted and ready for 9.45 three mornings running, I like to get up when Im ready on holiday and take my time.

D Harty, there are some injections listed as a precaution on your booking advice sheet for the usual stuff, but we didnt bother, my sister has been going to Turkey for quite a few years now and she has never had any, the mosquitoes in Turkey are not reported to be malaria carriers so thats why we didnt, and im still here to tell the tale.

HI d.harty,

As debora said, most people generally don't bother with innoculations etc, however, its up to yourself and there is a huge big topic on here dealing with it.
