what happened? does anybody know?

Hi superstar ... it's probably best that we only discuss memories of Phil at Panchos, rather than any aspects of his personal life and death.

There is likely to be a piece in tomorrow's online edition of the Costa Blanca News.

Rest In Peace Phil the Legend.
He will be sadly missed by the thousands of children he entertained and all the parents for whom he helped make a great holiday for.
Pancho's will not be the same without him.
My condolancies go out to his family and friends.

We have been going in to see Phil since 1997 with our son, Phil made him a balloon Tweety Pie for his 2nd Birthday. Over the past few years since my son as got older and thought he was too 'old' to go in there we have always been in on New Years Eve just before 1am to celebrate and Phil always remembered him, and Phil would be not be 'Phil the Clown' but just Phil in his black suit and dickie bow looking really smart, we didn't go in this year as we knew he wasn't there. I have got a lovely picture of him holding my son on his 4th Birthday.

Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

RIP Phil.

Thanks for the memories. Especially 'Follow The Leader'

My daughter who is 7 had some great times watching Phil. We went in Panchos in August and Phil was off with a broken leg I think and a guy called Captain Britain was standing in for him but it just wasn't the same.

RIP Phil you will be missed.

i told my children today that phil had passed away, they both cried. for many years he had made so many children laugh and now they shed tears, for a person to have this type of emotional effect on young children is a true legend...he touched all of our hearts in so many ways, and will be sadly missed xxx

I have been asked to pass on this message as James is not a HT member.

To my friend, my buddy, my work mate.
For the last 14 years i have worked with Phil, laughed with him, cried with him. I am James Adam the Hypnotist, Phil was unique a genuine one off, on and off stage, the nicest guy in Benidorm. He liked a beer, he liked his pleasures, it was my pleasure to just have known him, all i will say is the angels are going to get custard pied every night. GO ON PHIL.

To Faye and Luca and baby, my thoughts are with you, no words can bring him back, but it was nice just to have been his mate.

God bless you Krusty
James Adam.

Hello Faye, and thanks for taking the time to post.

In addition to those few posts here in this thread, I can honestly say that in all the time that I have been associated with Holidaytruths, I have never received so many e-mails and private messages from our members about any one subject, as I have in the last week about Phil.

I find it remarkable that so many of those members are considering giving Benidorm a miss this year, for no reason other than the fact that Phil is no longer there. I always knew he was a popular guy, but the impact which he seems to have made on peoples' lives is amazing.

Our thoughts and condolences are with you, your family and your friends at this difficult time. I hope that like so many holidaymakers, you too will look back on many happy memories, and be so proud of what Phil achieved in his life

Many kids grew up with Phil, he was the maker of good times for families and others that visited Benidorm. There will never be another, he's a legend. My condolences go to his family through this difficult time.

i was shocked to hear about phil as last year was the first time we missed going to benidorm which my kids did not let me forget. both my little girl and boy are very upset about phil and are going to miss him. we spent every night seeing phil the whole 2 weeks we where in benidorm. phil will still go on in our house as my little boy can act out everything phil did. I will miss him to as he was the only one whoever got away with throwing a custard pie at my partner even i wouldnt get away with something like that . benidorm wont be the same again and nobody will be a patch on phil he will be a hard act to follow.

my condolences goes to his lovely wife and children at this difficult time he was an amazing guy

if you dont clap your hands you get a custard pie go on phil! you will always be remembered
