Hi there im looking for inspiration for somewhere to go for either 1 or 2 nights the first wkend in Dec for a couple and one child aged 9. Ideally i would love a caravan ( yes i know itys Dec ) or maybe log cabin / chalet. Also not that im asking much but it must be close by either york, Edinb, Glasgow or anywhere else on the eastcoast mainline as we dont drive.
Any ideas much appreciated x
How about Lomond Woods Holiday Park in Balloch north of Glasgow. Balloch has it's own railway branch line from Glasgow.
The site is really nice with log cabins or caravans and is right next door to the Lomond Shores visitor centre with shops cafes and a sealife centre. A short walk away is the country park on the shore of the loch
