thomas cook are booking 2009 holidays as are thomson both online, by phone and in shop but first choice only in shop or on the phone
I have just booked my FC 2009 holiday via Co-Op Travel and they gave me a price £300 less than FC's phone and shop price. I did enquire with FC when they were taking online bookings and was told 30th April but as there was only 2 family rooms left at Holiday Village for the Whitsun half term holiday I decided to bite the bullet and book it with Co-Op and hope that the online price isn't loads cheaper!
Sorry Ruth I didn't mean you, I did read that you didn't fancy it, I think someone earlier said with a 3 year old you need all inclusive. I was just curious.
Hi all I booked my holiday last night for Aug 2009 to Hisaronu - so excited. I booked with Direct Holidays not knowing that they were part of Thomas Cook and it was cheaper than Thomsons by £400 and for the flights (daytime flight) and date ie. August not July £1k less than Thomas Cook! I have one query which hopefully someone can help me with. We are staying at Hotel Asena Village - does anyone know if it has a hotel run kids club as the brochure we have is from Thomsons are they have their own kids club at the hotel - do you think they will let us use it even though we did not book with them? I am trying not to worry about it as it is 15 months before we go lol
Thanks
Redcrop x
June how much did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking. I fancy Side the beach looks lovely but will wait until Carmen (our daughter) is a bit older for a beach holiday though.
Happy Hol's
Ruth
we paid 4089 with thomas cook for 2 weeks 28th july flying from manchester to melas hotel theres 4 adults and 1 child going All Inclusive
we havent been to side but been lara last year and the beach is really nice there too
so we thought wed try side next year
first beach holiday we did our son was 3 he loved it
how old is your daughter ?
I want to try Side and Olu. My parents have been going to Icmeler for as long as I can remeber. They are going to Topkappi Palace in Laura in Aug so I will see what they think. Hopefully it wil be better than some reviews I have read.
Any tips for taking a 3 year old on first holiday?
Ruth
we also had a thomson kids club which he enjoyed for 1 1/2 hours a few days a week he just love being on beach with his bucket and spade building sand castles and we took him in sea he wasnt too keen on at first but after a while loved it
he also went in kids pool we got him some arm bands and a ring and went in pool with him which he enjoyed
main tip is tire them out ...... lol we used to tire him out during day so he would go to sleep after dinner in his buggy with us while we watched the night entertaiment and had a drink and no matter how loud the entertaiment or noise was he would sleep through it all then when we was ready we took him and ourselves up to bed for the night
one thing i wouldnt do is keep them awake some people do but last thing you need on holiday is a screaming youngster cos they are tired
no matter which way you do it have a great holiday
delphin palace deluxe we went to in lara last year it was great
I agree. I will let her sleep when she is tired. That is why we have not been abroad before now. I hate kids crying as they are tired and hot. It drives me nut's.
Ta for info and advice
Ruth
Glad your sorted Ruth, good addvice is plenty of high factor suncream.
Yeah. I will be slapping the high factor lotion on. Our daughter is mixed race (black Jamaican and white British) but I will still be putting high factor on. Their skin is so delicate, bless!
we only took the buggy as we had got one I wouldnt go out and buy one just for the holiday as you probably wont use it again when you get back home
my grandaughter will be 4 this year when we go to turkey and were planning on taking a biggy for when she is tierd especially when walking back to appartment after an evening out. we have taken her to turkey scince she was 1 with no problems children adept better than adults.we alwasy go private /diy appartment with all the facilities of home.
The last time we took a buggy of rmy older daughter was when she was 2 and she didn't really use it much. By the time she was 3 she didn't use it at all because her baby sister was in it. I don't think you will need it but if you do want you can buy very cheap ones in the supermarkets although I don't remember seeing them in the summertime, only the winter.
I fancy doing a DIY next year, when do flights normally become available?
Going back to beloved Kocer Club 31 July-14 August 2009!!!
Thought I got quite a good deal - paid £25 less than what is cost us for last year!!
Still got this year's to go yet - go out 25 July but I'm happy now lol!!
Flights are already on sale for 2009
normally do DIY but the deal was that good , I thought let someone else sort it out next year.
Where are you all getting your deals from? all the tour operatours I have looked at at really expensive compared to the deal I got this year........15th August out of Bristol to Seda Apartments, Marmaris....
