Try Devbagh Island - very quiet but nice for a change.
Pallolem - nice beach,and the huts are very good.
This year we are making the trip to Hampi,and booking through Daytripper goa.

Have looked up Devbagh island, the trip seems quite good, we did similar 5 yrs ago when we went to Cola beach (I think) and stayed for 2 nights in a luxury tent with meals etc... there was also a lagoon, it was wonderful, I don't know if it's the same now?

I think we are going to do the Floating palace too, anyone know if there is just one place to start the trip on the river or several??

We would have really liked to have done a trip to see tigers or maybe safari on elephant back but have a feeling there would be a lot of travelling involved.
Someone we got talking to last year at Dabolim Airport had done a trip like this, but we didn't get details.

the safari trip might be the dandeli trip? you go to the next state,karnatakar, about 4 hours drive away. stay in tents over night, like at colva!

you can go a safari, ride on elephants, eat loads of food at bbq, and do white water rafting (or if you dont want to do this, you pay less and get to visit a village!)

Re the floating palace, there is only one place to get the boat from, but you will be picked up from various points by coach to take you to it, after 'high tea' you sail to the river Mandovi and its estuaries.
