Have been reading this forum for a year now and finally got round to registering!! We are going back to goa for the 3rd time in March but are getting a bit stuck on places to visit - done markets and elephant rides/washing so any advice on different trips would be great. Also thinking of having teeth whitening done but am a bit nervous of having pain throughout our holiday!!
Hoping to have more rings made as last year I had diamond ring for £300 and valued here at £2000. My husband had a ruby ring made for £250 and valued here at £900. We are taking four family members with us this year so I hope it will live up to all I've told them as we love Goa..!!!
Now you've got over your first post let's hope there's no stopping you! Welcome to HT Gina!
Pallolem - nice beach, and the huts are very good.
This year we are making the trip to Hampi, and booking through Daytripper goa.
I think we are going to do the Floating palace too, anyone know if there is just one place to start the trip on the river or several??
We would have really liked to have done a trip to see tigers or maybe safari on elephant back but have a feeling there would be a lot of travelling involved.
Someone we got talking to last year at Dabolim Airport had done a trip like this, but we didn't get details.
you can go a safari, ride on elephants, eat loads of food at bbq, and do white water rafting (or if you dont want to do this, you pay less and get to visit a village!)
Re the floating palace, there is only one place to get the boat from, but you will be picked up from various points by coach to take you to it, after 'high tea' you sail to the river Mandovi and its estuaries.
