helo there
hopefully this will generate some ideas for us. i would like to book to take my daughters away for a week, but not sure where to start looking, this is what we need: during school easter holiday of spring half term, we need to travel out on a sunday but return on a sat
weather wise the hotter the better, not more than 4-5 hours flying, any board. must have pool. must be cheap i.e £250 each or less. girls are 16 and 14. not mainland spain. going from stanstead only I know this is a lot but i dont know where to start looking. i saw somewhere on here somebody knew when certain airlines release cheap flights, how do you find that out?
I love this site and get so much out of it, we have travelled independantly before but not during school hols.
just found dates if any help either fly out 28th may and back on 3rd june
or 9th april until15th april. any help appreciated.

http://www.easyjet.co.uk and they will email you when the flights are released (STN not out yet). Best of luck, but with the dates you have selected, I think they will be expensive.

http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk and you might find an apartment in the country of your choice, many of which are on complexes with pools.
Hope this helps.
I agree with Robbyw. Look at easyjet or Ryanair etc where you can book specific dates and not be tied to weekly charters. Then look at sites e.g. Hope this helps.
Easyjet fly to most places in Mainland Spain (although I see you don't want Mainland Spain) the Balearics and Portugal (the Algarve might be a possibility although it is not cheap). Ryanair don't have quite so many destinations.
I think you might struggle to get a really cheap deal at the times you want.
If you were able to go for a week then possibility a package holiday would be better for you.

If Faro is an option, I managed to get 4 summer flights with Easyjet (2 in May and 2 in September) for £59 each, but booked within 1/2 hour of flights being released. School hols may be a different matter, but fingers crossed, best of luck.
i will keep the accommodation site in my favourites, as that will come in very useful.
portugal is an idea, hadnt really thought of there.
i have tried registering with easyjet but not sure if i have done it correctly.
I am looking into the possibility of going for a whole week at easter now, going on 2nd april. (as long as ex husband isnt too awkward about child arrangements).
once again thank you all for taking the time to give such helpful advice.
