After spending a glorious fortnight in Olu Deniz last summer we have booked to go again this year. Whilst in Olu we discovered that the Turkish restaurants are VERY generous with their portions of food!! This is great and we really appreciated this but I must admit there were a couple of evenings when all I would've like to have eaten was a small salad or even a kebab. My question therefore is can anyone please suggest a decent kebab/ salad/ light meal place to eat in the evening???
THANKS
In Hisaronu, a Dolmus ride away, we go to Big Brother if we want a light meal. A kebab in one of their lovely Turkish bap things is about 3ytl and they are lovely.
Ohh an Iskander Kebab, yummy
I second an Iskender yummy or often we will just get a takeaway Donna wrap much nicer than the ones here
Iskender???? Please explain. :-)
It's a kebab on a plate. Kebab meat cut up pitta chile/tomato sauce and natural yoghurt. Back in the day when I was young we used to end the night with one of these at around 4am in the morning
Does anywhere offer Gozleme (pancakes)? Or Manti (like tortellini)? These are light dishes ... but still offered in generous portions.
Sometimes if my husband and I are not very hungry we share a pide and salad at a pide house. None of them ever seem to mind us doing this. We just ask for an extra plate.
