Making your suitcase as light as possible?!

Hiya everyone, hope everyones ok!

As the title says, i have 20kg checked luggage and 10kg hand luggage (Pauls boutique bag, he can hold a lot!!)

I am moving/staying for the summer in Canary Islands, and i only have 20kg and 10kg luggage limit..

Has anyone got any tips?

Rolling clothes/folding?

Make up will be in checked of course as perfume etc, but GHDS will be in my hand luggage so the plates dont get smashed like a few years ago!

But my hairdyer in checked. I am going in 12 days! I havent even got the suitcase out the attic yet, and i havent begun washing everything yet?!

I have a "world's lightest suitcase" and it's brilliant. Light as a feather. I find the baggage itself can take up a lot of the weight allowance otherwise.

Also, buy your toiletries once you get there.

when we use easy jet i can fill our cabin bags but not get enough clothes on them for a holiday so we purchased small compression bags now i can get in all the cloths we need plus oh's ciggies the laptop etc

As you intend to stay for at least the summer, leave the toiletries/make up till last and pack everything else. You can always buy over there. Look around you and see if there is anything you think you might miss if you lived there- so don't just think holiday.
